i am using the ZTE MF600 HSDPA wireless access terminal, which my friend gives me.
when i connect my pc to this access terminal, i can straight away access the internet.

then i try connect the D-link DI-604 Ethernet Broadband Router between the access terminal and my pc, internet access unsuccessful.

i have the user manual, but not sure which option to choose when go through the setup wizard.
the manual looks something like: http://support.dlink.com/emulators/di604_reve/help_home.html

can anyone please guide me?

thanks.

hm.. in the router you need to disable to dialing mode and you have to configure only using router fuctions not modem router functions. If you wanna share internet access, a switch with help you. A switch will directly share the maxis internet access from the ZTE router directly without any configuration. Please make sure also that the cable you using is not longer than the manual book recommended. Because if the cable is too long it wont work for the switch and router to transfer packets. Hope my suggestion work for you. Good Luck.!

Simple things to do is to get a Switch.

But if you have a Wireless Router which you are not using you can do the following:

1) Change Wireless Router (E.g DIR-615) IP to the same range that the ZTE and avoid the same one
==> 192.168.0.254

2) Disable the Wireless DHCP function

3) Connect the ZTE to the LAN port and all Pc to the LAN port as well.

This would help on your issue.

Just disable the router function of DL-640, and make it like a normal switch will do.
