if m not mistaken,80GB is not for our region.y bother buying 80GB??u can always change ur hard disk to a bigger size..

U still can ( original of course ) but harder than the older version of the console since they've omitted the PS2 chip and went for software emulation only.

Rumours that I heard, probably end of this year. But, I don't think the price is gonna be cheaper..

I am planning to go SG to buy the PS3 as the warranty is official there. but i would like to know how much will i be taxed?

Anybody taxed b4? mind to share how much? and also how much u bought ur PS3 there.

all dutiable products are taxed with a flat rate of 30% in jb customs

sg has quite a few promo, latest is 799 for set, buy 2 games free 2 games, or console for only 749, it depends, u need to know where to look for

huh? 30%... wow.. the price would be far pricey than malaysia....

if $799 = RM 1844.91 set is with + 4 games c+ 1 controller means that RM1844.91 + (30% of 1844 = 553.20) = RM2398.11 + unknown cost of going travelling = ++RM2500

in Malaysia, i can get console RM2000 with 2 controller + 1 free game + 2add games for RM400 = RM 2400 + travelling of RM10 = RM2410++

Correct me if i'm wrong but they say, home sweet home!

the only thing i can correct u is u tarak warranty, tats all

wen sony actually launches in malaysia, i guess the price would be much much more higher than u predeicted, like wat happen for the PS2 as well as PSP

and btw, tax isnt 100% confirm one biggrin.gif

if buy the ps3 in sg, try not to bring the box back... just the console and the game... if ask just tell its ur personal item.. see if kena tax or not... but just incase of emergency bring the resit along la....
