overall I voted GSC..
GSC seat is much nicer, advertisement no comment but I can memorize all d..
sure got the Digi Indian ad, Maria Sharapova's powershot, Ixus 70,
Digi Taiko's add (like to repeat the Taiko part), and the support ori ad (boss, boss, this copy I sell ar belly good one)..
Cineleisure is promising but the seat SUX!!!!
the seat is too straight and the arm's rest too low...
so it's my 2nd choice..
it's been time since I went TGV..
but I did manage to go to TGV Sunway Pyramid 2 weeks ago..
the Caramel Popcorn is super nice..but like last time, there's no legroom

Have you checked out the new TGV in Sunway, way better than many GSCs now.

Are you kidding me? I went there to watch Harry Pothead and I felt like I was sitting on wooden seats. My back hurts. And the worst part is the air con was switched off halfway through the movie. It was hot as hell. Some more the movie sucked. So it was kinda like two hours of torture.

I'm ok with either GSC or TGV
I go to GSC since its easy to make reservation
they accept either Maybank2u or Credit Card
It really convenient
Well, I believed everybody know,
how it look like if u need to queu in weekend just for a movie
i prefer to book in advance
plus i also can coose the seat, like always

Cathay Damansara is a new cinema,
I belive the facilities is still better, but in term of
graphic or sounds quality, no much different
since most of the cinemas nowadays provide
dolby and thx, most not all smile.gif

TGV for me... Ipoh only got 2 cineplex chains , GSC Ipoh Parade and TGV Kinta City sad.gif  And GSC Ipoh Parade SUX big time for me... Reali reali SUX!!! vmad.gif But why no IMAX ge, last time i go watch Harry Potter in IMAX Times Square quite nice oso...
*

yea..is true, GSC in ipoh parade is really suxx.. shakehead.gif !been yearss i never been tey since the TGV open in JJ smile.gif

but in KL, i much more prefer MBO Cineplex in Ampang. The 1st time i wen tey is really impress me. Tey got 10 cineplex tey, a kiosk machine to buy ur movie ticket, plenty of parking lot, the movie play on-time, confortable sit and spacious, and the environment tey almost the same as all high-class cineplex in KL. icon_rolleyes.gif

The reason why i chose MBO Cineplex in Ampang...Bcoz it was near to my home... rclxm9.gif and the place was not so crowded as like in KLCC, or Midvalley or 1U... icon_rolleyes.gif

TGV

Pros
1. Well spread
2. Due to certain outlets competing with GSC, easier to get seats
3. Great online booking system
Cons
1. Old seats and uncomfortable
2. Unfriendly usherers and snack counter staff (encountered so many times)
3. Snacks very slow in replenishing
4. Old sound system

GSC

Pros
1. Well spread
2. Good supply of snacks
Cons
1. At MV, no competition, so long queue at times
2. Booking system not upgraded to allow seats choosing

Cathay

Pros
1. Very comfy seats and spacious
2. Excellent popcorn
3. Great sound system
Cons
1. No chains in KL
2. Hate the snack counter system, Queue Pay Queue Collect ...

My vote .... Cathay ...

Contender for the worst certainly has to be GSC Selayang Capitol. The floor is only slightly inclined so half the screen is only visible, other half is someone hair. Tough luck if a 200-pounder or a Yao Ming or a punk with punk hair decides to sit in front of you.

And it stinks... I mean literally. There is this dense urine smell. And then the sound system isnt good, plus the projection is dim. The seats are probably infested with bacteria. Also, in Hall 2 there is this dirty, old cupboard on the left side... dunno wtf is that.

No wonder the prices are RM7 on weekends, RM5 on weekdasy and RM4 on wednesday. Totally shit cinema.

Look on the bright side, you just saved some consultation fees. Apparently, your eyes are fine but you have hearing problems. tongue.gif
