As per the topic title, who's interested? I reckon most of us live in the PJ/KL area, so we could choose the most convenient location for all who are interested as well as most appropriate time *wonders who's gonna be the first to write an algorithm to get the most optimum result*.

We can share our experiences working or just coding in general, or see what other interests we may have in common. If you're still studying you can use this meet up as an opportunity to learn from people already in the field. Those already working can use this as a chance to promote their business, after all most of us would either need a company to work in the future or need expertise outside our specialisation. Bear in mind though, the idea is to socialise and have fun, so lets not be too formal tongue.gif

If there are enough people, we could even get ourselves custom made Codemasters t-shirts smile.gif

***** UPDATE *****
From the locations, it seems a good central place would be Midvalley Megamall. Its more or less a central location and easily accessible via public transport (for the younger ones or those without cars). I chose burger king cause the food aint bad, reasonable price and best of all, unlimited refills smile.gif. Though we can always change location in the mall If we decide to hang out elsewhere.

Venue: Burger King @ Midvalley Megamall
Date: August 10 2007
Time: 7pm

So those who can confirm their attendance, reply with your location and mode of transport. Then we can arrange for carpooling.

Confirmed attending members:
  1. Silverhawk (TTDI,KL) [Public Transport]
  2. hyperair (PJ/KL) [unknown]
  3. giasens (PJ/KL) [unknown] (reaching around 8pm)
  4. fyire (PJ/Subang) [unknown]
  5. dopodplaya (KL) [unknown]

Whether you're n00b or pro, it doesn't matter smile.gif As long as you're studying, working or merely just interested in this field as a hobby you can come smile.gif

I'll talk to my partner about the T-shirt, but we would need quite a number of people for the price to be worth it.

Some wild idea... since we've got all the interested party's location, we could plot that in a map and maybe use some algorithm to find one location that is the nearest to everyone. How's that sound?

Dijkstra's algorithm can be easily adapted for that, but the problem is more to do with the tediousness of inputing all the data for it to crunch smile.gif
