my budget below 2k not including the monitor. is c2quad really use all four cores to boost the performance of video conversion?

It depends on the software you use. Check the software's website for information.

IINM most, if not all latest video editing/conversion software are multi-threaded (can use multiple cores).

Ok, I am buying a new Pc and have already put in all the details in the above thread.
In summary, here are my supposed pc config :
user posted image
The problem is, only now the shop owner finds out that the motherboard Intel DP35P doesn't support floppy drive which is a must for me. Now I have to suggest him to a better motherboard which does support floppy drive.

Can you all please give a good suggestion. I would prefer a Asus mobo but don't know which model to take. Appreciate all the suggestions.

@LiMcZ - looks good, not sure about the huntkey part - it's the first time i see people mentioning it. smile.gif

@Sea2004 - actually any board that doesn't break your budget would work fine.

Actually, I am not very familiar with mobos. So, would appreciate it if you can suggest to me a mobo(pref a Asus one) which would be suitable for my Pc with the config above. I want a good quality one but the price shouldn't be too expensive either. If possible, the price should be around the price of the Intel Dp35p (rm100-200 more should be ok). Take note, I have already decided on the Intel one but the problem is it doesn't support floppy. Even the shop owner seems blur now. So, I need a similiar or better quality mobo with a floppy drive support to replace the Intel one.

You can get an external USB floppy disk drive which is about RM85.

I know but I prefer an internal floppy drive. Just not comfortable using an external floppy drive.

Hi,

Is it possible for me to buy 'only' a CPU with a budget of RM1k? Tight budget here...haha

Can someone propose the specs here? Preferably powered by AMD.

Thanks.

i think its better to get 640gb hdd since the price difference is very minimal and u get extra 140gb

500gb = RM250
640gb = RM270
