Hi guys,
Me planning to get Desktop for Home. My current P4 system is really bugging me, so, time to change.

My budget for the system would be around RM2.3k inclusive of LCD monitor.

I use it mainly for photoshop and sometimes games....

Need a 20inch or above LCD screen
atleast 500GB HD
preferably a Quad Core Processor

Thats my plan.

Pls help me out ya. Thanks

The most important part of a gaming rig is the GPU and piumiu's recommended HD5850 that eats the Acer's 4870 for breakfast. Also you don't run any developer apps, do you? If the answer is no, then it's likely that you wont be able to take full advantage of the i7's Hyper Threading capability. Which means the i5 would serve you just fine.

I was checking on the RAM pricelist while ago, what's the difference between single piece ram and dual kit ram(pair)?

Can't I install 2 pieces of RAM for dual channel? Then what is the purpose of getting a dual kit ram? rclxub.gif

Generally single pieces of RAM would be slightly more expensive per gig of memory than the dual kits, considering same models. Apart from that, the real purpose of getting dual kits are to ensure that your RAM modules are fully compatible with each other.

DFI X58 is using Intel X58 chipset but with better features.
D0 is processor revision for i7 which run cooler than the previos revision,
