But then again..

I heard that Windows 7 would cost around RM500 ?

So that makes my total cost up to 3990 .

Which is more expensive than the prebuilt ACer one...

The OEM copy of Windows 7 Home Premium or Vista, which Acer uses, costs less than a full retail pack. IINM, it's around 380 for the 64bit version.

To achieve parity in terms of pricing with the Acer, you could sacrifice the 1TB HDD and get a 500GB one instead. The end price will be more or less similar to the Acer with Piumiu's build outperforming it in terms of gaming experience.

On and by the way, buy enough components from one particular shop and they'll waive the installation fee. So you needn't know how to install hardware yourself to get a custom build. Neat eh?

Why is Intel X58 mobo so darn expensive? Cost around RM900 I believe? Because it supports up to 3 g-card?

Can I know if having the motherboard and graphic card produced from a same company is better (as in way better or not) then produced from different company?

Hi all, plan to upgrade my PC as it seems lagging while I'm gaming now sad.gif

this is my current rig:

AMD Athlon 64+ 3000,
DFI Infinity, 1GB DDR RAM,
X800GTO & 500W FSP Blue Storm 500W
LG DVD-RW drive
HDD = 320gb + 500gb + newly purchase 1.5TB Samseng HDD brows.gif

need advise / recommendation on proc, mobo and RAM upgrade, hope it can fit within RM850-RM900, and another RM200-RM300 for a bigger casing biggrin.gif

so the total 4 items shall not exceed RM1,200. tongue.gif

suggestions are all welcome biggrin.gif laugh.gif

My current budjet for the comp is 2 k ringgit n below ...

I would like to know that for my situation whether buy a ready made comp or a customade comp cheaper ?
I'm totally a newbie for customising comp , i would love to get some advice / suggestion on the hardwares if I wanted to build my own comp .
Lastly , i would like to hav a bigger Ram for a better speed , such as 2 GM Ram .

Hope to get some useful information ASAP . smile.gif
