no actually i am nt really a intel fan, i choose intel coz i can get discount from relative tongue.gif .. My budget is around 3k and will be using to play games.. so i am thinking about a gud solution for cooling purpose..
*

if you get discount. then you can go for i7?
cheaper alternative is quad core with p45.

cooling solution I will recomend coolermaster v8 or thor hammer. used them both.

QUOTE(adachi7 @ Jul 1 2009, 04:51 PM)
just wondering, in the
ttp://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=1037659
list, how come there isn't a rig with core 2 quad?
Got some problems with C2Q izzit?
*

the socket 775 and ddr2 is dying. for the same price and performance we can get better amd solution.
thats why im pushing more value for the user.

Take HAF922. Looks better and new model. 690 is too many user and starting to look outdated.

V8 is better if you change to 90cfm fan.
Thor hammer only come with heatsink and you need additional 22 90cfm fan to pairr it wwith.
I will take picture and post it here. Both AM2/3 ready and use them before. Thor hammer is quite nice.
V8 gets ugly and dusty very fast. Thor looks nice with the black nickel plating.

Hope this is the right place to ask!

Anyway, I was wondering if there are graphic cards in the market right now that are at least on par with 8800 GT 1gb. And are they cheap? I'm looking to replace my card as it has been causing me quite the headache.

I never use a card more than 1 year.
This year alone is 4870, gtx 260 and now 4890.
Sapphire carries 2 years warranty.
