can anyone tell me where do i buy the nylon washers and the 8x10mm screws.I've been to all the Home Fix DIY shops and they dont seem to sell any of them.

Added on May 20, 2008, 5:10 pmAfter doing the x clamp method.my xbox worked .wen i turned it off n on it back it shows the 1ROL E74 error code.i have a feeling my motherboard could be damaged.This is seriously ****ed .

MY STORY:
Me and my friends decide to have a Lan Party cause our term brak just started.
So, my frineds bought thier xbox 360s (8 of em) and LCDs, lepak my house and Lan all night, (gears, Gta 4, COd)

long story short, 3 of us kena 3ROD.

I've already have some experience with 360s before, Personnaly my Xbox dah kena tebuk 3 lubang for 3 pc fans....

So i'll try fixing 3RROD!

ur help here is gonna help me ALOT.

ROD hurts .. mine is a different case everytime i press the x symbol on my controller it blink one time n it turns red circle , but xbox is perfecto
anyone exp that b4 ? controller doesnt work

I got a set of 4 torx screwdrivers, 2 of them T8 and T10 over at Sea Electronics in SS2 for RM8. I think could have gone lower

Not as well made as the ones from Ace Hardware though.

i might have told some of u i kena 3rod, but actually i didnt check... until today.

my box is having 2ROD with 0011 error code (CPU overheat).... can still boot to dashboard, 2ROD only happens after a few minutes playing game. any idea on how to fix this? change fan? nos? x-clamp?

btw the box is a japanese unit, been working fine for the past 2 years until i didnt turn it on for like 1~2 months recently

Just like mine, replace new thermal paste, switch on the machine, let it run around 15 minute, mine one still got 2rod after i replace the new thermal paste but after i let it on around 10 minute, i reboot again, then no more 2rod, i suggest u get better cooler for the cpu unless u wanna do like mine still using the table fan blow on the cpu heatsink.

thanks for the suggestion. opened up my box today, put in some new thermal paste... played gears for 3 hours, so far so good (b4 this any game wont last 10 minutes).

i'm back, hehehe

i just got my T8 and T10 in Ace Hardware, stop looking around at those fancy hardware shop coz they wont hav any require screws,washer and Artic Silver. Just drop by any local or neighborhood hardware shop, u can buy tons of screws n washers in very low price. The fastest and easiest to find substitute for Artic Silver is use hardcore liquor...Jack Daniels and Chivas my favorite choice for clubbing and clean component. About the thermal paste, u can find any PC shop and i got my coolermaster thermal paste in IT hypermart. if you wanna ever buy a gpu heatsink, there's alot in ebay and they will ship to malaysia or find in sg.wang IT floor.
