even if he go back home...his family..his wife..and his sons..will say " dad pls kill ur self to attone for ur mistakes"....

yet in malaysia..the coach did better by saying "we played against a better team" wth....go to hell la

Our players' hairstyle is better than their way of kicking the ball.

Norizan laments lack of quality
"We qualified for the tournament as hosts and we understand that we are playing at a different level," said the Malaysia coach.
"But I have to say that the players, even though they know where they are, are still keen to represent their country and they are trying.
"These players are still trying to do something but when you talk about the aspects of the game, you have to talk about the level."
"We lost to a better team. We tried to make corrections from our first match, but it failed," said Norizan.
"It was a difficult game for us against a team that is physically stronger than us.
"We tried to match them and improve from our first game. But whatever changes we made, it did not work and I am not happy with the result.
"I reminded the players early in the match that they need to watch the crosses and the long balls, but somehow they lapsed in concentration.
"The players were trying to play with more urgency but at the end of the day, the Uzbeks had the advantage in terms of passing and all aspects of the game. When we tried to make good passes, they were intercepted and that only caused our defence to make more mistakes.

haha! wat to do, last time used to dunhill sponsored mar, i think they love the tagline too much:
gaya: long or spiky hair, goatee
mutu: nike, with name on the back, adidas/puma boots
keunggulan: membolos 5 goals from china, another five from uzbek, and an upcoming nightmare from iran soon! (not an easy job to take 5 goals from each team in conjuntion of the 50 anniversary celebration, so i rated them damn 'unggul' in managing and planning!)

Uzbekistan blast in five goals past hapless Malaysia

By ERIC SAMUEL

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia suffered a second humiliating defeat in the Asian Cup when they were whipped 5-0 by Uzbekistan in a Group C match at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil last night.

Uzbekistan skipper Maksim Shatskikh, returning from a one-match suspension, scored two goals in the 10th and 89th minutes.

Timur Kapadze added another in the 29th minute. Ulugbek Bakaev converted a penalty in the 45th minute and substitute Aziz Ibragimov added another in the 85th minute.

After the thrashing against China (1-5) in the opening game on Tuesday, coach Norizan Bakar made four key changes in the starting line-up.

He brought in centre-back K. Nanthakumar, rightback V. Thirumurugan, left-winger Mohd Ivan Yussof and striker Indra Putra Mahayiddin.

But it barely troubled the physically bigger Uzbeks who raced to a comfortable 3-0 lead at half-time.

In fact, they pierced open the defence with the opening goal through Shatskikh in the 10th minute.

The Malaysians failed to check Server Djeparov's free-kick which landed perfectly for the Dynamo Kiev striker to nod the ball in from close range.

At the half-hour mark, Malaysia were in for more misery when the Uzbeks punished the disorganised defence with their neat one-touch passes to score the second goal.

Timur Kapadze picked up Victor Karpenko's through ball and left three defenders in his wake before beating keeper Azizon Kadir with a low shot.

Azizon then turned villain when he brought down Ulugbek Bakaev inside the box and the referee pointed to the spot.

Bakaev easily converted in stoppage time of the first half.

Indra, who scored the consolation goal against China, could have put his name on the score sheet with another brilliant strike but missed the target by inches.

Uzbekistan further punished a fast tiring Malaysian side when unmarked Ibragimov easily slot in the fourth goal in the 85th minute.

Shatskikh then made it 5-0 with another soft goal a minute from time.

Malaysia play fancied Iran in their last group game on July 18 and the question is how many goals will they concede?

looks weird to this sentence...

losing 5-0 is not losing to a better team already, he should said :"we are no match at all to the uzbek"

so happy with the result nod.gif laugh.gif , pity i not going to watch, the ticket money is very worth the money with 5 goals showing ...

i think iran can rest their key players, get a draw against china, then last match simply play also can beat the sochai 5-0

No wonder our gov die die also want Manchester United to come, at least something to divert this humiliation from us...look at the empty stadium! 5k spectators in a 100k seat stadium, and the 5k people had to pay to watch what must be described as utterly sub-standard football. I'm sure they rather watch their kids playing football then those clowns in yellow. My goodness, look at the other co-hosts, at least they are doing their nation proud and even winning matches! We used to be jaguh kampung, but now we are getting kicked in our own backyard! I bet the whole world are laughing at us now, i know i am!

Knowing our beloved FAM, first, they will have a "post mortem" "kena kaji betul-betul". Then they will compile a list including :

1) our opposition are stronger than the other host nations oppposition

2) Our players are physically disadvantaged against the "giant" opposition

3) not enough time to prepare

4) no supporters come and sokong "kalau stadium penuh, pasti ada umph!"

5) the floodlights too bright

6) the pitch too big, players too small

7) the official sponsor "Ali power root", pull out last minute, so no power drink that's why no stamina...

and on and on and on....

Then they will

1) sack one or two puppets in FAM who have earned enough

2) bring in new puppets hungry for some "bling bling"

3) Disband the national team (and form a new team which consists of mainly the old team)

4) sack the useless coach and find another even more useless one

5) Form a new seperate team, with a vision to qualify for the next olympics ke, world cup ke, and put berjuta juta RM on it, and they will...yeap..u guessed it...replace the old national team and get whipped 10-0 by Uzbek and the whole cycle continues

Don't you see, we were meant to lose badly so that all I mentioned above can happen? Its all a ploy to form a "new team", build "new facilities" to make our team "better". How much they spend? millions. What is the end result? Some people get richer.

And those are the same people who critisize us citizens for not coming out and support our local football. I refuse to be a part of this fiasco, this utter madness. At least show us something positive before expecting us to come out and show our support.

QUOTE(v i n c @ Jul 15 2007, 02:46 AM)
Norizan laments lack of quality

KUALA LUMPUR - Under-fire Malaysia coach Norizan Bakar admitted on Saturday that his side does not have the quality to compete with their Group C opponents at the AFC Asian Cup.

Having dropped their opener 5-1 to China, the co-hosts shipped another five goals in a 5-0 trouncing by Uzbekistan at Bukit Jalil National Stadium, which all but eliminated them from the competition.

Norizan had been trying to restore some confidence in his team after their heavy defeat to the Chinese, but he found himself in a defensive mode once again when he faced the media after yet another debacle.

His main point in a rambling press conference was that his side were not equipped to compete at a higher level.

The central Asian side took advantage of sloppy defending by the co-hosts to race into a 3-0 lead by half-time through goals by Shatskikh and Timur Kapadze and a stoppage time penalty by Ulugbek Bakaev.

Substitute Aziz Ibragimov and Shatskikh, with his second of the match, added late goals to pile the misery on the Malaysians.

"We are not thinking about the losses but after two defeats, the psychology of the team would be affected," he concluded.
