Kelisa rm39k~41k vs Viva rm44k

But if we do analyist on the car and spec, it seem perodua became follow proton style already, noob and noobest.

Viva body became heavy than kelisa, yet they remain the engine cc at 650, 850 even 1kcc, really insane. U try imange Viva 850cc bring 4 person and go Genting, engine sure jam....  rclxub.gif
*

u think toyota will let perodua produce 1.5 cc car? hmm.gif

then what will happen to toyota hatchback?

should i add extra 50k just for a toyota badge?

QUOTE(jimlim007 @ May 19 2007, 11:50 AM)
U siao lah, my point is Viva even with DVVT engine, also will comsupt more fuel, this tis due to its body heavy and low cc. In the end, theoritically is LPPL concept.

It just like you lah, when U fat (fei zai), U need more energy to do something, even in ML, so that is the same case at here. Viva not a good deal, its probably just a trick to let them push their MyVi sell. though  sweat.gif

Ur post shows how naive and inmature are you. Just to be fair with you, the viva is still new and i have no idea how it will perform on city driving,, highway, genting, how good the FC will be and the economy running cost. Time will tell once viva owners willing to share their experience.

Variable valve timing is used to boost efficiency and improves fuel economy, provided if its properly tuned. Variable valve timing is also used to produce optimum power at certain revs, like the vtec.

Seriously i think u better rest this topic or else more ppl will end up bashing u.

Before you fellas make all sorts of assumptions about the Viva being heavier than the Kelisa... go here to check your facts:

Kelisa - http://www.perodua.com.my/our_cars.php?sub...v=specification

and here:

Viva - http://www.perodua.com.my/our_cars.php?sub...v=specification

You will see that the heaviest Viva AT (800kg kerb) is actually lighter than the lightest Kelisa MT (801kg). The lightest Viva 1.0 MT is only 785kg which is 16kg lighter than the equivalent Kelisa MT.

If you ask me, I'm not sure how Daihatsu did it, but they have made a bigger and better car with a modest weight reduction to boot. Amazing shit.

And comparing the 1.0L engines, the Viva's engine actually has more than 10% more power (+5KW) than the Kelisa's engine, with roughly the same torque (a marginal +2NM).

With regards to the specs only, the Viva 1.0 (with its lower weight and higher power) will run circles around the Kelisa 1.0.

I won't. A proper comparison is the Kelisa vs the Viva.

So what you're saying is that you have no information to support your statement.

say what u wanna say man......the viva IS UGLY.

among malaysians, looks=very important. u dun see them buying that renault godknowsuglyashellcar here despite it being very economical and functional.

looks can be subjective, but so far, 20/20 ppl i've asked said the viva looks ugly. i personally think the viva is hella plastic. oh heck, i think it won't sell.
