haha..relax-relax. For sure Viva already lost the 'nippy' dna that kelisa have. But the engine got DVVT remember? The hp and torque are higher than the old engine. hehehe..my opinion only...sumone have to try it first.

viva is for people who need a cheap car in a variety of configs and mostly for town driving.
if your car isn't capable of going up genting, then you should knock yourself on the head for not studying hard in school and getting a better job so that you can afford a beemer or something.

there will still be a market for a car, no matter how small it is. look at the tiara - phailure but i still see them running around

correction - the viva has slightly more power than kelisa/kenari
what can 5bhp and an additional 10nm of torque can do in a car that revs till 8k?

U siao lah, my point is Viva even with DVVT engine, also will comsupt more fuel, this tis due to its body heavy and low cc. In the end, theoritically is LPPL concept.

It just like you lah, when U fat (fei zai), U need more energy to do something, even in ML, so that is the same case at here. Viva not a good deal, its probably just a trick to let them push their MyVi sell. though

Viva can go genting or not? I still remember last time my driving instructor drving 850cc automatic fetch 3 persons included the drive itself going hulu langat surfine hightech for exam.. Going up hill even use D2, at last he called back up.. Drive another wira come fetch us.. Haha..

Mira=Kancil=Kelisa=Viva.

All the P2 models are based on the Daihatsu Mira with slight modification. MYVI is based on Daihatsu Sirion/Toyota Passo.

Kancil/Kelisa/VIVA is just 3 generations of Mira.

Come on ler. Why would anyone want to risk driving their small cars up genting? It doesn't makes sense. Perhaps u still can go, but after that ur engine will surely have the lifespan reduced...just go halfway and take cable car ler!!! I saw many nice cars...BMW, Honda, Toyota, Benz also parked at the Cable car station car park and take cable car....

100K car also dun wanna risk it....you wanna risk ur Kancil/Kelisa/Viva with full load go up Genting??? Sheesh....

a good friend of mine which is also a forumer got tapoed in a 1.5 wira manual going up genting by a kancil 660c stock carrying 4 people. you say leh? its your instructor's fault for not using D1 and by the way, surfine hightech's hill isn't steep la....and its in sepang, not huhu langat

about 1.5 manual wira give 650cc kancil tapoed, feel shamed on the driver.. haha.. If always go genting, buy old nissan sentra which now the genting taxi using.. confirm no problem.. My uncle but 2nd hand this sentra and just use it for genting..

kev da man very furious in this thread, eat liao dynamite ah. anyway i also dun quite agree with TS punyer idea lor. Viva has newer engine compared to the old daihatsu one. Although the weight is higher but it's definitely better in terms of efficiency and fc. Myvi DVVT 1.3 auto also can tapao Wira 1.5 manual, what makes u think Viva is worse than Kelisa.
