the front audio can be connected, just refer to the mobo manual , it's there.
about the other connector, that's the IEEE 1394 fire wire connector. they are used to connect to DV or other
compatible stuff. 480mbps max trasfer rate (theorycally)

mobo doesn't simply KABOOM just because of wrong connection. so the seller telling you nonsense.

just connect following the instructions.

IEEE1394 - FireWire port.

I have a question, i know that there are external casing or third party casing for 2.5" HDD. Is there any external casing for 3.5" HDD? Is 3.5" HDD faster than 2.5" HDD?

I am planning to buy a 500GB HDD in this coming PC Fair.

Please give advise. Thanks.

yes, there are casings too for 3.5" HDD. generally 3.5" HDD is probably faster coz the mostly is 7200rpm compared to 2.5" HDD's 5400rpm.

If I am not wrong there are 7200rpm 2.5" HDD. smile.gif 5200rpm HDD are preferred in laptops as they consume less power.

You can always look for 7200rpm 2.5" HDD if you really prefer the smaller enclosure. But do note tt 2.5" HDD are generally more expensive than their 3.5" counterparts, even if the rpm and capacity is the same.

yes there are 7200rpm 2.5" HDDs. those are considered high performance ones. they also cost slightly more than those 5400rpm ones, which as you mentioned already are more epxensive than their 3.5" counterparts smile.gif

800 and 1066 doesnt have significant difference if you are not going to OC. for normal usage i would say, 800mhz is more than enough smile.gif

Is RM2XX the cheapest already? cheap and good i mean. I am using it for gaming but not those gaming rig one lar but just for playing certain games as the graphic card is quite old but can support certain games like L4D,TFortress 2,GRID,GTA4(someone told me but not sure). I am noob with these computer hardware stuff so i wanna ask, do i need to bring my whole cpu to check whether it's compatible with the power supply? or just bring the graphic card? I think all power supply is compatible with all computers right?

Added on May 9, 2009, 1:27 amWant to ask hows this Gigabyte Odin 370w? saw it for a pretty cheap price. And is that 6 pin? and this Gigabyte Superb 550?(is this 6 pin too?) i would prefer the Gigabyte Odin 370w if it's ok for playing those games i mentioned.

Added on May 9, 2009, 1:32 amOh wait, i don't think it's 6 pin. For the Gigabyte Odin 370w one.

@wanteddog
There is nothing cheap and good...If u want the good thing, u have to pay more for sure...Juz get the one within ur budget...
U dont have to bring any hardware, juz tell ur comp spec to the seller, they will know what psu is suitable for ur rig...
