Hi, 1st of all sorry for closing my earlier thread coz i making this one as my official photo thread. I too lazy to create a new photoblog via fotopages, flickr and so on.

I just new to serious photography, after years of using Canon Ixus camera. Realizing to a point and shoot has reached its limitation, i decided to get serious and arm myself with a Nikon D40 with kit lens.

But the 1st pic on the epson i admit it was a screwup as i was unfamiliar with the P settings inside the building. On a desperate attempt, i ended up using Portrait which gave me the satisfactionary results. I used ISO400 instead.

Need some time to master P before moving to M. Any advise esp for taking model's pic?

yea, she's my friend too..haha..But wondering how come didn't notices her yday...i guess maybe too many crowd..and her tone colour in that pic looks a bit dark..or she put less "makeup"?

1/60 is ok, but do increase ISO to 800 minimum if lighting is very dim..and + EV a bit..

Tq for ur advise sifu I put my ISO400 but guess i try that if there any indoor shots. My indoor shots seriously needs improvement and perhaps a speedlight is needed.
