Yea we closed that down tho. Was way too expensive to run although there were a few takers and some problems with torrent files named in Chinese.

Not to mention that the HTTP download due to tm routing was unstable even with 8 multiparts to our server (ranged from 20-140 kb/sec) even though the download was at 14 megabytes a second on a private tracker. We tested the upload to one of our local datacentres and maxed out the 20 mbit so it wasn't our server's fault. Looks like more of Tmnet as usual. We were probably unlucky with our choice in server or the routing was particularly bad that day.

I wish all the luck to ascii as there is definitely a market for TF services and people are willing to pay for it and it definitely helps those who wants to maintain their ratios in private tracker sites.

Today FTP performance not as good as yesterday eh? Kinda fluctuate alot.

depends on how many ppl using the ftp at the time la..if all want to use ftp at same time..sure will fluctuate

When you change your password in Torspace, it DOES NOT change the FTP login password.

yes..it does not change the password of the ftp as the ftp and torspace are linked manually..You CANNOT change the ftp password

I'm using the trial account the speed is very powerfull it's like running the torrent at the datacentre but manage to get 218.* then i can reach this speed using Internet download manager

But i wonder does this works with private tracker?

Any ideas?

On trial account. The files have been downloaded to the server. How do I transfer it to my pc. Used ftp but cannot see the files. Any help?

It will only work with private trackers that do NOT log your IP, or else it will not correctly report your ratio, or worse it will show invalid IP and will not allow you to access the tracker.


This is easily rectified by using a proxy, either a binary or CGI proxy as long as the tracker recognizes the server IP
