if no overclock, stock cooler enough. if you want, can upgrade a little bit for less noise and slightly better cooling, no need go harcore

i5 7600 vs R5 1600(closest to price not sure about performance though) video editing & streamer I think Ryzen 6 core have the upper hand if you have dough that is.

i5 7600 compared ryzen r5, gaming just only few fps different, but ryzen give u benefit of streaming and workloads as rendering etc.
Motherboard surely is different, since different socket and platform.
ryzen r5 under stock cooler oc should no problem, if got premium cooling fan sure will give u lower temp.
The current issue of ryzen as below:
Ram Compatibility - Check QVL list of mobo u want to buy for select right ram to run in full speed of ram due to bios still ongoing fix for better compatibility.
NVDIA GPU optimization issue - There are only few game u may get a gap of fps with intel cpu under nvidia gpu, but no problem with ATI GPU.
Maybe other minor bug that no ppl found yet? due to new architecture.
There's also interesting info,
Current gen intel cpu will get a frame spike lag in some game, but ryzen or older gen intel wont.
Ryzen commonly have better minimum fps in gaming according to review.
This is why many reviewer feel smoother in gaming in their first impression when they get touched with ryzen.
