funny I used 219.95 and I got acceptable connection. 600-700ms. Good times good times. I'm on alterac mountains realm (PVP! nothing else comes close) and @ level 11 currently. Using trial but pretty damn tempted to get retail now. hahahaha. Using girl character called Elyanna. Whisper me and we can go partying on quests.

Having BAD latency problems with 218.111.xxx.xxx. I'm getting 1.2k ms

Added on February 21, 2007, 5:06 amJust took a risk to reconnect and got 219.94.x.x thankfully, playing smoothly now with 500ms.

I like to play WoW during rain times. Nature kicks everyone in the housing area out. Haha!

Amazingly, my streamyx modem has been surviving since 2003. Never turned off except when I leave for hometown.

Your modem is either the luckiest one I know or the toughest. What brand? McLaine (Die Hard) aaa?

This is a list of barang that close lightning strikes have done to my PC in the last 3 years:
- Surge protector x2 (real bullshit)
- Power Supply x2
- modem x2
- motherboard x1

Maybe I should go farm some instances for nature resist gear for the PC.

218.xxx.xxx.xxx works well for me, typically 400-600ms latency.
219.xxx..xxx.xxx is typically 600-1000ms these days

Sec 16, PJ: 219.95.* 1000+ ms, mad lag spikes.

Got 218.* once early this month with 250-500ms smooth. but since then i've never been able to get a 218 IP again, even after writing a script to reconnect dsl for 18 hours. sad.gif

yeah man.. no more 218 for me sad.gif really hopeless for online gaming with 219.. but theres 219 with no spike eg: 219.95.248.x -219.95.255.x this range u got no spike but higher latency (around 500-800).

It's the 1st generation of the ZTE ZXDSL 831. The Streamyx Tech told me that it's usually hardier than the newer versions of the modem.

Before I got a better surge protector, I was using a cheapo Voltage Regulator. Now, ended up using a Belkin 7-plug surge protector (nearly RM200) plus UPS (no choice after my 1st PC went kaput after a year).

For my first PC, had to changed out everything except for the Leadtek Graphic Card, Intel Chip and the above modem.

This is through almost daily rainstorms + lightning strikes in Kuching.

Selangor - Seri Kembangan

60.50.X - standard ip, 600-1200
60.52.X - 400 - 800
60.53.X - should be better than 60.52.X , only grab it once, during the Taiwan earthquake

errr...which one is ok to do instances + raid?

coz your latency is sort of in the borderline. cutoff point is 600 ms so for 60.52.x at 400-800 ms is good or bad?

to those getting 200-300ms, dont be fooled as its just the new latency meter (even since WoW 2.0 pre bc patch if im not mistaken) being more "accurate".

what does that accurate mean? basically if your in an area with like no one, your latency will most definately drop to 200-300 ms (provided your on a good IP range and so on)

once you start having activities, such as orgrimmar/ironforge AH, or starting to PVP like in AV or instance/raiding etc, your latency will rise to 300-500, on avg 400+ ms.

no matter how good lagmyx go its not possible to lower it any further due to the distance, and the retardedly congested gateway lagmyx is on. but know this, even good isp from singapore/australia for example, the best they can go is around 200ms anyways, i know its quite a huge difference (especially to pvp enthusiast), but there isnt really anything we can do till lagmyx steps up and stop suckin.

=edit=
oh and to adress with the topic:
218.111.xx.xx = around 400ms
218.208.xx.xx = around 500-600ms (but have certain issues in connecting to certain websites, or ventrilo servers, either timeouts or high ping spikes, but for WoW ok for most of the time)
219.94.xx.xx = around 400-500 ms (sometimes as good as 218.111, sometimes just a bit laggier of around 500ms)
219.95.xx.xx = around 500-1k++ ms (total BS ip range, no matter whats your purpose. it only worked miracly during the underwater cable break [the taiwan quake], having around 400-500ms ping, dont know how that happened, but it did. the moment the cable is restored, back to BS status.)

and i am from KL, taman intan baiduri (it is in between selayang jaya and kepong)
