yap.. they wanna to promo their song in iTunes and the code that you key-ed in is to redeem that song.. but you can use your itunes acc to get something useful like High resolution artwork from Apple and every week got free song, audiobook and more..

how do i create a account in itunes? seems like must enter credit card to activate.

without account also cannot download the free song

when i click redeem, then it pop up ask me to sign in or register new account no way to skip ler

not really. just go to the itunes store, on the right hand side, click a link called "redeem".

enter the code, and click create a new account, all from inside itunes.
