QUOTE(taxidoor @ Jan 30 2007, 10:06 PM) I'll be using the current hardware I have now in my main rig with a few new parts in it. Quad core, I will wait for the real monolithic quad cores instead of the current "fake" 2 in 1 Conroes. QUOTE(deric88 @ Jan 30 2007, 10:08 PM) I'm not abandoning the LL V1200B. The mods will continue. QUOTE(Aquanox28 @ Jan 30 2007, 10:10 PM) Wow, silver case EDIT: Since one of our dear forumer deemed this post as spam, I shall now insert some opinions into my post. First of all, this case is huge. It is admired by other forumers in another forum and is taken to be one of the best cases around. Btw, yup, it's full aluminum and that means light weight(weighing at 12.9kgs, it is light, considering its size) too I believe it also has good air flow, as it has 4 120mm blowholes and 2 92mm blowholes for fans. I personally do not own this case as it's kind of expensive, with a pricetag of RM1k ++ Wah! U really know a lot about teh TJ07 eh? U've answered almost everything there is to know about the case d. QUOTE(yumiex @ Jan 30 2007, 10:18 PM) Well, I have a few basic ides already. I'll sit down n haf a brainstorming session soon. QUOTE(DiCalto @ Jan 30 2007, 10:28 PM) wah... lucky uncle... then ur king kong one how? use to surf web with 8800 inside n use sli 8800 in this new king kong? SLi? Did u say SLi? QUOTE(LWRNCH6550 @ Jan 30 2007, 10:52 PM) Yeah I like it too. It matches my workstation nicely coz the silver aluminum matches the silver aluminum Apple monitors on my table. QUOTE(Devilc0de @ Jan 30 2007, 10:58 PM) wahh uncle.. nice case u got there.. i really like da white color.. carnt wait to see how u mod that case Where got white color? It's all silver aluminum. QUOTE(cablesguy @ Jan 30 2007, 11:09 PM) eh silver?, thot u were more of a black casing kinda guy, anyway u planning any kind of filters for the bottom hdd cages, also abit curious as to how loud running all those fans will be....anyway this casing is tough as door nails, i actually sat on one after reading a reviewer doing so anyway figured sooner or later u were gonna move over to a server size casing lol Sponsor gif silver case so I just take silver case lor. It really is tough as nails. The single piece chassis construction is made using automotive panel stamping machines. Really solid. QUOTE(Aquanox28 @ Jan 30 2007, 11:09 PM) Btw, I saw the internals are white in colour. Aren't they supposed to be aluminum? Or are those just sticker to protect the interior from scratches? I think uncle will firstly cut a side window for this baby. About the next, I'm too sure.. It's silver aluminum. Mebe the exposure of the pix makes it look whitish. I'm currently undecided on wheels or bling bling case feet. |

I certainly dont haf any probs with the build quality n the stuck side panels, HDD cages n all that. Everything fits n works perfectly in mine. I suppose those problems were the 1st batch of cases. QUOTE(E-J@1 @ Jan 31 2007, 01:33 PM) hey u all better stop visiting this thread, i got an anonymous tip that bro ianho here is trying to poison u all like he did with lian li Yes. Pls drop by at the Silverstone League to get poisoned. QUOTE(Kataro @ Feb 1 2007, 12:55 PM) Wah uncle ian, 1st King Kong haven finish, now already got King Kong 2... Will there be a King Kong 3 later Maybe later gc, proc, ram, psu and all other hardware also got sponsor... There will most certainly be a King Kong III n King Kong IV n so on. I'm a chronic upgrader. Added on February 1, 2007, 8:53 pmHad sum spare time on my hands just now. Stripped the case down to study the structure n construction of the case. This will allow me to get more ideas on what to mod n how to mod it later. There's a lot of things to study b4 really getting down to modding it coz this case is really modular. It's like a box of Lego blocks. practically the whole case can be stripped down n removed to individual parts. So far I've only seen 3 rivets. The rest r all screws. Anyway, here's a pic of the mobo tray removed. ![]() See how bare the case is after removing the mobo tray? That's because it's so modular. The mobo tray's rails can b removed too. That leaves just the 2 support bars standing at the back. This post has been edited by ianho: Feb 1 2007, 08:55 PM |
