NOTE : if u have previously installed a working sound driver but the speaker is not mute when u r using headphone,u need to uninstall the previous driver. On Device Manager choose Conexant High Definition Audio and click uninstall. download this softpaq(driver files) ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp33001-33500/sp33470.exe double click the exe and let it extracts the files to C:\swsetup\SP33470 (u can choose other path, but i will use the default path here). after it extracts the files..it will try to detect the hardware or media and it will eventually gives u an error in detecting media or so..that is normal. Just click OK. after that, go to Device Manager, highlight High Definition Audio Bus or sumthing like that, right click, choose install driver/update driver.. then follow as in the screenshots.. Click YES/OK when the windows message pop out, and let it install the driver. Restart ur laptop and try out the speaker and headphone. It should work now. installed windows vista RTM on my friends notebook... installation went smoothly... there were a few driver updates but they worked perfectly fine. using windows update. synaptics, hp quick launch, nvidia geforce go 6150 drivers...
it went smooth with Aero after that... surprising that microsoft has quick launch drivers as well... didnt try the x64 version as my friend didnt partition it properly... after the video driver update. the notebook got a 2.4 score for the graphics... he upgraded his RAMs to 2GB... anyone planning to run windows Vista, i highly recommend 2GB at least... windows vista takes up 500+ MB of RAM by itself... lol... |

i think V3200 series should start with Vista caz of the wireless draft-n drivers...
AMD Turions are at least 300 bucks cheaper and NVIDIA Geforce Go 6150 performs better than Intel GMA950... |

plug in your power adaptor, set your power options to always on or home/desktop and run cpuz again. it will detect the correct speed.
use the SPD tab of CPUZ screen... the max speed will be on the 2nd or 3rd column... just get anutha pair of compatible rams with the same configuration on the SPD tab then it will work in dual channel. please use dual channel rams for optimal performance in windows vista. windows vista recommends 2 GB of Dual Channel memory.
