but 1X512 + 1X1G cant run dual channel,

and 1X512 533 + 1X1G 667, the overall speed will turn into the lower 1, mean run at 533MHz only...

nope did not buy 2 years warranty.....

I just email my Telesales telling her my ram is not compatible due to 1 is 667Mhz and 1 is 533 Mhz... she check with the Product manager and verify that they give me the wrong RAM... so they will exchange the 533Mhz ram to 667Mhz ram at no cost.... they will diliver to my house and swap the RAM...

nice of them... however they havent finalise the time to swap yet... saying waiting for refund department to confirm time

Hi guys, thinking of getting the V3203AU (amd turion 1.6 free dos with dvd rw) or V3204AU ( same except with vista basic) with the full upgrade to 2GB Ram over next weekend.

Can i ask is there drivers for Win XP Home available? If there is no drivers i intend to get V3204AU instead.

I intend to go to Low Yat Plaza. Is there any shops which you bros would recommend?

Thank you bros

Hi guys,

Just bought myself today a Compaq Presario V3218TU (Intel Duo Core inside) at Low Yat today.

It does not have any operating system, only FreeDOS was pre-installed.

Now, I'm planning to install Windows XP, so I just put in my Windows XP CD to commence installation, but was prompted during the Setup that it couldn't detect my hard Disk..... blink.gif

Then, I quite the Setup and proceeded to format the Hard Disk, with the intention of clearing everything that was on the hard disk, and to install the Windows XP on an empty hard disk.

Same problem occurs, i.e. Windows XP Setup is not able to detect my hard disk.

So, my questions are as follows:

1) Is there a problem with my hard Disk?

2) Did I do the right thing by formatting the FreeDOS programme?

Would appreciate if you guys can share on how to solve my problems above.

If the Hard Disks are the problem, then I guess that I have to travel to HP Malaysia HQ to seek a warranty claim.
