chunei, u doesnt really need to send ur lappie in by yourself..you can ask someone else to help you send in..you can still register the form using your personal detail but your friend to take it..this was what i just did last week..

it's simple. if u send it by yourself, u save time. if u send back to the shop, they'll wait until they have enough lappies collected, and then only send one shot to the hp service centre, which will take more time la.

as mentioned by one of the forumer earlier, u can ask your friend to send in for u, just make sure he/she knows what is the problem with your lappie when the technician ask them

no, as it is a defeatured model. non-glossy black piano finish, 2x usb ports, no card reader.

service center is very near HELP institute. look for the bluish building with the hp invent logo on top. service center is on the ground floor. free parking for service center customers.

I just received my 3133 this morning. I'm installing XP now. How do I play a cd/dvd without booting up? Is there any software that i need to install first?

kianwee: no you cant... only works with DV2000 and V3000 US models

chunei: AMD... i think the figures speak for itself(check main page)... get a V3000 with Windows XP Media Center Edition with 1GB of RAM if you are planning to get Vista Home Premium. it is NOT hot! please do not believe in rumours.

main page has been updated with instructions for Windows Vista installation. its very easy actually. lol!
