Actually it depend on how is the person configure this laptop and luck also (Manufacturer Fault).

For me it work well done! Cheap toy but expensive performance for working, studying and gaming purposes... No other model or brand with the same price can match with this laptop specifications. Personally wondering HP can put this price tag to open market! WOW factor!

Do you refer to HP Support Center? Maybe your hardware having problem?

Do V3000 can play VCD/DVD without turn on the computer?

Any brand also got their minor problems. Dell always replace a new hardware to consumer. If you want more warranty then get dell.

I plan to buy V3222 and upgrade to 2G Ram.
Will it able to run smoothly on Vista?

I also quite sastified with my v3222.i think turion x2 is really nice.by the way, my lappy can run 3 hrs by battery with all at lowest setting, is other turion user with same battery life?personally i think cd/c3d ll done better in battery life.
overall, my only complain is my harddisk is really hot (seagate one),reach 55c under idle.will reach 65c during gaming.is it normal?

YES!!! infact you can play DVD and VCD without going to windows!!! with the ori preinstall software lah... if U choose Free dos then no software....

and the answer is YES!!! your V3000 notebok can be switch on by touching the Media button with or without the AC plug in!!!!!!

and I kinda like it cause I prefer touching te media to on my notebook than pressing the POWER button as I know.... things that can move tend to spoil more quickly!!! so the media button is by sensor... cool stuff smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif
