2006 aint Petter's year. Bad luck. I must say that Loeb is great and luck is on his side too. Winning the title while at home. But, the early leads really have helped him a lot

well, I think the layout of the Subaru car itself is the problem. I remember that because of the low radiatior opening on the Subaru, it overheated during all rallies that is done on the desert.
I just watched AXN Shakedown and I really love Gronholm's slide driving.

They are always racing, just not as a full racing outfit. Just like Citroen last year when they are on a sabbatical and let the car be handled by the Kronos team.
Also interesting to note that SUbaru finally changed to BF Goodrich

Loeb seals fourth Monte win.

Citroen team leader, Sebastien Loeb has taken the victory on the Rallye Monte Carlo, the opening round in the 2007 FIA World Rally Championship, to get his season off to the perfect start.

Loeb lead from start to finish, stamping his authority on proceedings from the off on Thursday, when he won both the night stages that made up the very short leg 1. Furthermore while he came under pressure from his team-mate, Daniel Sordo on Friday, in the first loop that made up the second leg, and saw his 20 second cushion cut back to less than 9, he re-established his dominance on the repeat runs through, to end the day 25.2 seconds in front.

Loeb then paced himself through Saturday's six stages and the Monaco circuit super special on Sunday, to take his fourth victory at the Principality and to equal the record held by held by Sandro Munari, Walter Rohrl and Tommi Makinen - all of whom have also won the Rallye Monte Carlo four times.

In the end the Frenchman won by 38.2 seconds, his first event in the WRC since his mountain bike accident in the autumn last year, which forced him to miss the final four events of the 2006 season.

Overall times after SS15 / Leg 3 - Top 20:

1. Sebastien Loeb Citroen Total WRT C4 WRC 3hrs 10mins 27.4secs M
2. Daniel Sordo Citroen Total WRT C4 WRC +00mins 38.2secs M

AXN has shakedown and reviews the week before the race and the week after as they are one of the official WRC sponsors.
Usually there are highlights on CH82, but with the Aussie open, we cannot be sure now

juz watched rallye automobile monte carlo this noon... the 2007 race started during night time... and its very exciting! rclxms.gif the lights from the cars are so bright tat it omos bring out the daylight even when driving on the dark roads... so bright and loud!

manfred stohl didnt start well as problems occur during the start of the race... and atkinson suffers drive shaft problem on his subaru during the middle of race... it seems tat subaru will be getting new car on the mexico rallye... does subaru release another new impreza after the 2006 one? so fast... hmm.gif

the best one is in the final special stage where they all raced on the formula 1 track (some parts only lar) in the harbour of monte carlo... converting the street roads into rally tracks... very nice to see them slide their cars when turning into every corner... juz a few cm only the car will kiss the walls... meanwhile david coulthard current redbull formula one driver was oso there too!

despite losing in the final stage, n dono wat solberg celebrate lar, he juz spinned his car making doughnut...

the new citroen c4 really nice le... not only the performance, the car itself looks very nice... thumbup.gif can say better than the xsara le...
