You don't need to remove your cart, you don't want dust entering the Slot-1 compartment. smile.gif

As for the screen protector, I'm not sure how to as mine came pre-applied to it. Just make sure to use good tape to strip off the dust, and use a credit card and start from one side, slowly easing and kneading the air bubbles away.

So far I've never seen a game which the game will automatically shut off your DS. In other words, it should be perfectly safe, except during saving. The 'tack' sound you hear is normal, I have that same click on mine too.

I own a touchscreen PDA which is already about more than 10 years old, and the sensitivity has never diminished. smile.gif

1) Yes you can. BUT you can't off it during saving. That will spoil the save file
2) Yes it is normal
3) Yes it will be. But this is based on how vigorous you tap the screen. If you tap it like hitting the drum box. Your screen will be pretty screwed.

LOL, just sharing what research that I've done since I got my DS recently biggrin.gif

DSTT supports SDHC, so it shouldn't be a problem at all.

Is it because last time im using soft reset to often? after im using soft reset only this thing happen.

Try changing the cluster size of your memory card, it might help improve speeds and hangs, such as games like Castlevania: POR.

QUOTE
Or is it because my ttds car capacity nearly full?

I've never heard of such a problem before. Nothing should affect the card even when it's about to reach its maximum capacity.

QUOTE
My DS autostart setting is manual but y everytime when i start ds it goes directly to game page?

Your flashcart will override this function, it'll work on original game carts.

Just want to ask some touch screen question.

I bought my NDSL about 1 month already and recently just notice that my touch screen has some light leak at the left side of the screen. Screen shot provided:

As you can see, there is one line of light leak out at the left side and half at the upper one. Is this normal or is there any solution to solve it? Feeling not nice while playing with it too.

Btw, my NDSL is cobalt Black version and i know that the bottom of it is rough skinned. But the GBA cover is hardly to remove, is there anyone also like this? scare that later broke my NDSL if pulling it out by force. cry.gif

Hope someone answer my question and thanks > <

Take a read here and you'll understand what I mean.

This part here should be relevant to you:

"A larger cluster size reduces bookkeeping overhead and fragmentation, which may improve reading and writing speed overall."

So, your next question would most probably be, how to change the cluster size? Firstly, back up everything you have in your memory card, as you'll need to format it. Follow these, if you're on XP, and with administrator rights:

Control Panel --> Administrative Tools --> Computer Management --> Disk Management on the left hand side

You should see a list of all available hard drives and removables. Right click your memory card drive, and click Format. Here you can set the volume label, file system and allocation unit size. Make sure to set the file system to FAT if your memory card's less than 2GB, or FAT32 if it's more. As for the allocation unit (this is actually the cluster size that we're talking about here), you can try out things, but most users recommend 16K for optimal read/write speeds for your flashcart. Do keep in mind:

"Storing small files on a filesystem with large clusters will therefore waste disk space; such wasted disk space is called slack space. For cluster sizes which are small versus the average file size, the wasted space per file will be statistically about half of the cluster size; for large cluster sizes, the wasted space will become greater."

This essentially means, if you set to a cluster size of 32K, and you store text files about 1K each, each of them will occupy one whole 32K cluster, which wastes space. A lot of it. Gave it enough thought? Once you've made your decision, double check that you've backed up everything then hit OK.

Moonshell shouldn't affect the cluster size, and it won't change till you format the card again. Also, Japanese manufactured cards seem to perform better than their Taiwan counterparts, so always go for a Japan unit next time. smile.gif

Mine has the same problem as yours, however it isn't very noticable. My GBA cover's easy to pull off, already loose from the constant plugging of my M3 biggrin.gif

Unfortunately except for a few flashcarts, there is nothing you can do about this. The only way would be to pull out the flashcart before booting up the DS to enter the firmware.

A simple Google search would provide these links:

http://www.4colorrebellion.com/archives/20...ectors-on-ebay/
http://hostplay.blogspot.com/2007/06/hori-...-protector.html
http://www.gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=33909

From the looks of it, your screen protector's an imitation.

I've heard rumors circulating about it in a few forums, but so far there's no definite way to identify them. It costs about RM100+ IIRC.

If the new firmware does nothing but to brick DS, I don't see a point of upgrading it. Just keep it as it is.
