If the charging is 2 and half hours, there is something wrong with my battery right? Time for a new battery?

No lah. nothing seems wrong with it. It should be able to fully be charged at 3 hours max.

Aahh, in the mood to do some answer. So here we go.

QUOTE(babymiki @ Jun 9 2008, 04:16 AM)
how much does a Nintendo Wifi Doggle cost?
*

You would have to check the market price but as of currently its around RM100 on Play-asia. Check out this dongle which i am currently using. Requires a bit of tweaking but it is cheap and easy to use once you went through 3 steps.

QUOTE(kimmie86 @ Jun 9 2008, 07:51 AM)
can a flashed ds with homebrew software play youtube videos
*

Nope, you would have to first download the video before converting into a sensical format that your homebrew can understand. The trouble is too much to go through.

You also can't view it online from your DS (as far as I know)

QUOTE(FirezZ @ Jun 19 2008, 05:45 AM)

Nope, nothing wrong. You should take a note at the play time though. If your play-time is significantly reduced, THEN only you get a new batt

There's no difference between the regions, just some things may be differently packaged. Japan units have the wrist strap in the set, where as other regions do not.

If you get your unit from Japan, you'll get a 110V charger as well, which you will need a transformer to step up the voltage to play it here.

b) is there any specific microsd for the ds lite or can i just use any?
c) which is the better microsd, kingston or sandisk?
d) lets say i get a 4gb microsd, can i have 2gb of photos/songs?
e) wud my ds lite be laggy if i use a 4gb microsd?
f) how do i surf the net or play videos/songs using my ds lite? would i require a slot 2 flashcard like the EZ 3-in-1 or EZ 4?

Question and answer session. In response to your questions:

A) Not really sure if Slot-1 carts are still technically considered flashcarts, but if you are regarding to such, it would be the CycloDS with it's variety of features and strong support.

B) Most recommend a MicroSD card below 2GBs to be a Kingston or a Toshiba manufactured from Japan. As for MicroSDHCs, there isn't much importance in Classes as they are only a measure for writing, not reading. But if you want a peace of mind, go for the Class 6 ones.

C) Subject to personal opinion. I basically feel that Sandisk has an edge in speed, where as Kingston stands in reliability.

D) Yeah, why not? You basically can have 4GBs of multimedia stuff without NDS-related files inside, maybe except for the flashcart files.

E) Not too sure about this, as I have not experienced such cases before.

F) Moonshell has almost everything you need for multimedia playback, but there are a few setbacks for video as it can't play videos directly dumped from your PC. You need to convert them to a specific format which most video players can recognize.

As for surfing, the Nintendo DS Browser should be able to help you albeit with few limitations, such as you can't view Flash (that includes YouTube) and a few more. The Slot-2 flashcart you mention needs to have RAM built-in, and a little modification needs to be done but we can't disclose it here due to 'ahem' reasons.

All MicroSDHC cards are now classified under various Classes, mainly Class 2, Class 4 and Class 6. The Class determines the minimum speed the card can be written to. So if it's a Class 4, it can be written at a minimum of 4MBs per second. Same goes for the other classes.

Brand-wise, I'm not very sure of it. Try asking Uncle Google laugh.gif

well, in japan ~ the hand-held/ console titles are not much cheaper but overall i think its more expensive.
but the system is cheap ~!

overall its worth-while to get PSP over there .. after converting its about 450 ringgit for a PSP SliM.
i was so tempted to buy but in the end i never did.

As I mentioned, the Class only affects the writing speed, so loads might not be necessarily faster but saving of files will.

And of course, higher would be better laugh.gif

I think you should if you bought it from an official Maxsoft distributor.

But if its like the common sellers in the console couch thread or the ones at Sg Wang and Lowyat, I'm not too sure on what you could do.

Still, no harm for you to just send it. smile.gif
