QUOTE(maddriver @ Dec 29 2006, 09:10 AM) just sold my year 2000 v6 for 38k. no problems with the car. only added a oil cooler to make sure gearbox does not kaput on me. your timing belt service will cost a bomb. that includes changing 6 irridium spark plugs, and it's no easy job to do. other than that, full syn engine oil, mitsu diaqueen atf fluid and oil filter for regular service. the engine is so smmoth after that. as for fc, rm120 will get u 500km power ok, but don't expect it to go around corners like a satria gti. shocks cost approx rm700 for a set of 4 woot? RM700 for perdana shocks? what brand? im selling less than rm300 leh see my siggy for user oppinion |

I've driven all 3 perdana V6 editions, from the first v6, to the alfa facelifted and to the enhanced version. Coz my mum's office keep on changing cars!
IMO, i think the nicest V6 would be the first version, before the facelifted one. It felt somewhat nicer and the pickup's better than the new one. (Maybe perhaps its due to the drive-by-wire thingy, depending on how u drive it, no idea) But the enhanced V6's interior feels much more luxurious, but the seats are not as comfortable as the earlier version. About the gearbox problem, yup, between 3 years it got replaced 2 times. After awhile the gear changes are not as smooth and it jerks alot when you're going down the hill. Luckily its a company car so its free. |

u can reduce the percentage for the gearbox to fail by installing a cooler for it.
somehow the first version v6 interior is the best in terms of comfort n style.. |
