Apple banned wifi scanner apps from the App Store a few years ago. So unless you're jailbroken, you're out of luck. Searching the iTunes App Store for "wifi scanner" gets you nowhere.

Here's a little secret. Apple's own Airport Utility has WiFi Scanning capabilities. All you need to do is enable it in Settings.

Let's hope they don't realise this and ban their own app. Or remove the wifi scanning capability.

It scans and lists the wifi around you by strength and channel. One way to use the info is for finding the least used channels to use for your own wifi.

There's also Fing, which is still available in the App Store.

Fing doesn't scan for WiFi networks.

Unfortunately, ionStorm is right. I went and downloaded Fing but nope, no scanner.
