just want to share my new assemble rig

user posted image

i'm using
-coolermaster hypertx2 + tuniq's thermal grease
-normal avf casing with 12" front fan (coolermaster long life fan)

so far i'm quite impressed. last time my hdd temp can reach 50°C. so scared!! laugh.gif
i think it must be cause by improper air flow, crappy wire management, n also unsuitable hdd arrangement.

screenshot above show my rig with normal load (downloading file from rapidshare, playin mp3, working with microsoft word - at the same time).

will too much/excess of thermal grease increase the temperature instead of lowering?

nope.. but it will be messy around the proc if too much of it.. and if ur thermal grease is conductive it will damage if it touch any terminals..

I hope i posted here in the correct section....

My problem is here:
I ran orthos to test my system stability. Its a program that stresses the CPU & RAM. While running, I can see from the online sensor the CPU temp is as high as 65C to 66C.

The moment I stopped it, (as in IMMEDIATELY) the temp come back to 44C. Not a second more. Orthos stopped and its a straight drop.

I am puzzled..........

My system: E2180 @ 2.4Ghz / 775GT2-LOG (n570 chipset) / Corsair XMS2 DDR2-675 / 160GB HDD / XP Pro SP2 / Orthos

Any help is much appreciated

if u r no plying with OC, thn js get a heatpipe cooler oledi gud enuf.. low profile cooler: CM geminII S(+/-rm120), TT big thyphoon(+/-rm150), both this can install in a normal standard casing.. if CCF sure will perform beter, but does not worth it if use for normal usage, and mayb will hv prob with the height of the cooler to install in ur casing..(if ur casing W smaller thn 190mm)..smile.gif
edit:
but if u gona get a cooler +-rm150, thn will depent on ur own choise, if u gona upgrate ur pc in future into gaming rig or plying OC.., thn CCF is a good cooler for u.. brows.gif

i think ur GC fan heavily clogged wif dust perhaps, did u check it?? its impossible to get 100c during gaming and its dangerous. see the fan working or not.

hmm.... cpu temp shooting up is normal lo during load...

games start to lag.... hmm

mind to check ur GC temp?

if its over 90c on load then try use software like rivatuner n adjust the fan speed to higher....

if those doesnt work to bring down temps.... try do better cable management on ur casing to allow beter airflow n increase ur ventilation by putting more fans or higher cfm fans.....
