hmm...have u taken reading from software like REALTEMP?

cos most other software got problem with the temp reading.....

if u taken the reading with realtemp it shud be around 40c during idle in an non aircond environment....if ur temp is the same, then u will have to remount ur heatsink n see if ur thermal paste spreaded nicely or not....

casing ventilation also is a factor for high temp....

just read the ones from REALTEMP....there are difference in their TJmax setting compared to other temp reading software ..if u realised,most of 45nm user uses realtemp as their reading

idle at core1=49 core2=42, avg 47. Load core1=58 core2=54. Running 6000+ 3.39mhz, 283x12, 1.55 vcore. Are these temps acceptable? laugh.gif

hi everybody. I have a problem with my new rig here
I am using 9850BE on ASUS M3a32-mvp, lianli pc0a7 or 6 (forgot already)
xigmatek achilles s1284 cooler.. then my processor idle already 53. Then I tried take out the cooler, cleaned everything and reapply thermal grease. Then I found the temperature went down to 47 at default clocking. but if overclock to 2.85ghz, the idle temp is 53~55..very the hot, dun talk about full load already.;

then I tried to remove the cooler again, turn around the fan on cooler ( before this it was pushing heat upward, then psu pull the heat and push to the back, now after i turn around the fan, it is pulling the heat from heatsin, and installed again. now the temp at 2.85ghz was 47 only.. but after a long night on, i let it went into sleep mode and downloading. this morning when i look at the temp, it is 53~54 now at idle..

I need some solution on this, I think this is not the temp that other ppl using xigamtek achilles has.. read on other forum even after their 9850BE oced, the idle is only at 35...
