I think you didn't install your heatsink properly or improper application of thermal paste. My Q6600 G0 stepping runs at 38C idle, 48C playing game on stock heatsink.

Environment, casing and the hardware inside your computer also affects the heat.

the thermal paste is the stock one..last time when i buy, i asked the dudes at AllIT to assemble for me, so i dunno how they apply...as for the hsf, i am pretty sure it's properly attached...
is there a way to check if the hsf is properly attached??? cos it's tightly sitted on top of my CPU

by "properly attached", what do you actually mean? that it is fitted correctly to the motherboard? unsure.gif

in my opinion, as long as the four push-pins (Intel) or the single bracket (AMD) is correctly fitted and is tight, you should have a properly installed HSF.

Proc = e8200 400 x 8 ( 3200mhz)
ram = 1gb x 1 aenoeon ddr2 800 ( running at 400 x 2 = 800mhz)
1 : 1

idle = 43 °C
full load (dual prime95) = 60 - 63 °C
is this normal?
Readings with realtemp

Using pentium D 805 heatsink(with copper medium) and STARS 700 heatsink compounds

Hi guys,

I just stress test my GPU / CPU of my notebook using those high end game and noticed that its go till 85'C. LOL.. I heard that reapply those thermal paste of my notebook heatsink will help. So due to my noob in notebook, can you guys recommend any shop in KL that I can send my notebook to them and reapply the thermal paste.

Besides that, do the enermax 25cm notebook cooler really works? Its sure looks nice. Any comment?

Oh ya.. I am using Acer 4720G.

haha... reapply thermal paste doesnt really help cuz the heatsink of the notebook is small and doesn't dissipate heat fast enuff.. get a notebook cooler it will lower the temperature.. smile.gif

Processor : E7200 @ 4.3Ghz
Cooler : TT Big Water SE
Coolant : Distilled water

Temperature with 2x Stress2004 as report by CoreTemp is 91C.

Processor : E8200 @ 4.2Ghz
Cooler : TT Sonic Tower
Fan : Delta 120mm fan

Temperature with 2x Stress2004 as report by CoreTemp is 73C.

Both using Gigabyte P35-DS3 motherboard. Why Big water temp is sooo high compare to sonic tower ? Should i spend rm60 go get the real TT UV coolant from shop ?

No?

coz the coolant will slow flow rates even lower ( water becomes more thicker), and kill your tubes.

and ethyl glycol is bad bad for health

What's the different between ambient temp and system temp? Speedfan has these 2 temp but I don't know which one is the true temp inside the casing.
