i jes assemble a pc yesterday... untill now i still haven't get it done.

the problem started when i installing winXP sp1, it seems like the cd rom wont work or cd spoiled... coz it require me to retry copying a file(s) or sometime BLUE SCREEN pop out with erroe msg -> pnp_list_corrupt or IrQL error... etc etc

after several retries, i manage to get through 'dos-like' setup of XP but there goes problem again...
it auto restart or 'hanged' when i installing XP especially the 1st part of 'installing devices...'

OK, after several retries/restart, i go through and finally installed XP. Problems raised again by keep on restarting or 'hanged' there. sweat.gif

i felt that might be some files had missing when i install XP, so i decided to reinstall XP, but the problem become worst... i can't even get to install XP after the 'dos-like' setup.

Anyone got a solution for it??? sweat.gif

note that i dont hav a single expansion card installed. All are integrated in mobo.

Make sense too.. If that still cant works, its vry high posible that either ur cd-rom got prob already o ur installation cd. Last time i personally encounter this prob. So i reburn another xp-cd... Then it works on already with no prob....

possible your IDE cable or RAM...make sure RAM is attached to slot properly.

the blue screen tells you exactly there's problem with hardware and not your windows corrupt or so.

i encountered a prob like this jz now...

i found it it restarted at the 'installing drivers' screen...

then plugged out all of my USB accesories and found out a infrared sensor was causing the prob..

my point is that it might be a usb device causing the prob...

probabbly cause by windows corrupted or other things like Nightstalker1993 said.. if it bcoz of widnows corrupted,i think it bcoz of ur windows are not isntalled properly.. try to refromat back ur pc by using other CDROm drive (as u said earlier ur CDROm are trying hard to read the CD when u wanna install the XP) .. or it maybe ur CDROm are didnt have enough power feeding on it.. try to use a single mainly power cable directly feed to the CDROm when u try to installed it.. hope it works..
