You cannot clear it. Either disable or enable. Go to Options > Privacy tab. It's the 2nd option.

Hello everyone.

I would like to ask from experts here on how to change Firefox's proxy *without* opening Firefox itself (and therefore going to their Option menu).

As was in IE, without even opening IE, we can always change our proxy by going to Control Panel > Internet Options.

Thank you notworthy.gif

My firefox started to slow load all pages except Google.com.

Is it because I tweaked the config?

or

Is it a known issue for the latest update.

Usually after clearing private data, whatever appears in the Location Bar are from your Bookmarks.

Unofficial Google Translate Firefox Extension: 34 Languages, 1122 possible language pairs, any OS coming soon

it's still in experimental stage but looks nifty.

Creator's website

CODE
It can translate 'to' and 'from' the following languages:
Arabic, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Filipino, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, and it can automatically detect the page language.

How to translate
You can quickly translate a word by alt clicking it, sections / paragraphs by alt clicking on highlighted/selected text. You can also translate the entire page with an option in the context menu. Google does the hard work, my extension just displays the output.

It's safe.
See the video tutorial on youtube it's rated 5 stars with over 800 ratings. The original got 120,000+ views. Feel free to scan on virustotal.com, jotti, or your favorite antivirus.

Accuracy
The translation quality depends on the language pairs you use. It's ultra fast and has some support for axioms and phrases. Please don't be retarded and say it doesn't provide a super accurate translation to some japanese site you want to read or write to like other assburgers have graciously done in the past. Words can have multiple definitions and it gets worse when you have languages where the symbol can have multiple pronunciations.

Torrent Contents
The firefox extension is like 6k, but I included a 25mb video tutorial which you can leave out with your torrent client. It's small because it just queries translate.google.com and lets it do the hard stuff. My extension just shows you its output.

Do you all tweak the ff3.0 from default so that it can load web faster like what we did it in ff2.0?

Do you think this will make it more faster?

# Use the filter above to find network.http.pipelining and set it to True by double clicking on it.
# Create a new boolean value named network.http.pipelining.firstrequest and set that to True, as well.
# Find network.http.pipelining.maxrequests, double click on it, and change its value to 8.
# Now look for network.http.proxy.pipelining and again set it to True.
# Create two new integers named nglayout.initialpaint.delay and content.notify.interval, setting them to 0.

Now restart your browser and check a few heavy-loading websites to see if those changes worked or not.

i have a problem with my firefox...

it sometimes plays some weird musics/sounds. is this bug or something?

i checked the browsers that i was surfing and none of them had a music/sound played. those sounds or music kinda pop-up themselves. i did't really mind about that, but after i heard a 'banshee' laughing yesterday, i kinda feel scared @_@ and today i heard a kid saying 'gajah, gajah, gajah'. and yeah, the sound obviously came from my lappie since i was surfing and using my headphone without having my media player opened. last time i heard japanese songs.

can someone help me? i've tried to google for solutions, but, nothing.

Added on November 20, 2008, 6:07 pmp/s: i'm using firefox version 3.0.4
