This is what happen to me since last week.

I coudn't access to internet. if setting to manually connection, error 678 will appear. so, I tell TM about my problem.

TM guys came to my house twice, checking line status with their modem and notebook and surprise me the connection is fine. I try with my user name and password and it work fine also. But, disconnection exist when connect their modem to both my pc and notebook.

At first, I though it was my modem problem. So, I bought a brand new router and test again, still disconnection. I was totally confused. I brought the modem and notebook to pc shop for checking. surprising that the connection is just fine rclxub.gif but , it will take >2 minutes for the connection with extremely slow speed. as least connection is ok with the pc shop telephone line ...

what had TM done to my line ????

what must I do now ??

I also have this prob. But my prob is error 691. It's the error of username n password. When I use my fren's line, it works fine. But when I use back my own username, error appear. I try to call the hotline but they said network upgrading, haiz...

this is really a dramatically thing happen to me ohmy.gif

just now I am at cybercafe , post this new thread at LYN. now, I am at my home, sending this mail with my home line ... my home line back to normal already ??

not sure ... rclxub.gif

this afternoon, I only bring the notebook at pc shop for the testing. and now, I am accessing internet with my notebook. and it work ... connected to internet ( first time since last 6 days disconnection).

but, funny thing is that, my pc still can't connect to internet. with the same computer setting ( internet protocol set to the default setting). I am now using direct connection.


what's is happening ??

is it because that pc shop seed in some magical spell in my notebook ??

technician said that the line is ok , no problem. so they said the problem might be with modem or pc. those task will be by pc shop technician.

anyway, my internet line come to normal now. after 6 days disconnections , through all the effort, energy, times and money ... wasted to buy new modem, rushing to pc shop to testing ... etc. it is confirm that the disconnection problem is from TM again.

Both my pc and notebook can access internet now
( after > 10 times complaints to TM), finally connection back to normal.

now, it's time for me to claim for bill adjustment for those 6 days.

why not ? I pay only for what I had used.

my internet connection cannot use for about 2 week (wait i think more than 2 week). reason: "kabel encik kena curi sbb tu encik tak dapat online"

maybe if i report to them earlier it wont be that long. reason i'm not around, just my parent at home. they dont really know about technical thing. my parent really frust cause cannot online for about 2 week.

what kind of weird reason is that ??
kabel kena curi ?? that's might explain the reason but how about solution??
TM always good to give reason but not good at solution.

how can someone "curi" your cable? is that tmnut guy talking about your telephone cable outside your house or your streamyx account?

i think the cabel he mantion about is my streamyx acc cable couse i can use my home phone. so that explain the cable that someone curi is not the phone cable. maybe the cable at their port or something. at that day, my dsl light at my modem dont even light or blinking. seem that my modem dont detect the dsl signal.

my parent seldom online, maybe 'someone' there curik my cable tap to somebody account to gain extra bandwidth couse they notice that i seldom online so i will not notice it. sweat.gif

couple of days also got problem, the same thing happen, no dsl light. i reported to them couse my parent dont know how to report. after two days my dad call them and ask about the report by provide the report number, the guy there said again that my cable kena curik again. then my dad angry la. he compalain why kena curi sommore. then the guy pass my dad call to higher management, then some guy there said that something rosak and need replacement. dont really sure what is rosak there. sighh... fulll of excuse lah. now it back to normal but dont know how long.

if your port gets "curi" again, I suggest you go to tmpoint with your father, and screw the tmnut idiot there upside down. i suspect something funny going on here. only tmnut technicians and tm people have access to the telephone exchange in your area. ordinary guys like us can't just go around and "curi" your port. if the problem keeps on happening again, i also suggest you lodge a police report against tmnut!

dsl light off only happen once at my area, sarawak.
but, that is because of the phone line linked to router was broken.
never heard of "cable rosak". if really "cable rosak", TM must responsible to fix it back ASAP.

the 2nd time, not the cable rosak. some hardware failure they said. my dad dont really understand what the technition on the phone talk about. if i'm the one talk to the person i might ask him detail why my dsl light dont light up.

i dont really know how streamyx connection. all i know that streamyx use the same copper cable with home phone right? so in theory if my cable kena curi means that my phone also cannot use lah, right? but i can use the phone. so it is not this copper wire. actually what is dsl light on modem refer to?

so, if they said kena curik, mean someone working at tmnet stole my cable lah. since nwk said only authorized personel have excess to it. i think they just bullshi* lah. the customer care think that all the people call them are idiot as them. that is why they trying to come out with such excuse.

if this problem ever happen again, then i gonna yell to them. it is difficult couse i dont stay with my parent. that is why i cant monitor streamyx line at my home often. sometime only come back.

yeap, you can't share the same account to online together.

but, yelling of the operator really can't bring any effect for improvement.
last time I scold at one of TM operator and he started to disturd my h/p line with strangers' call as revenge. how professional ?

those operators are only lower level workers and they can't do much to improve the line. they only can guide you the trouble shooting method and making report for you.

like my case as post #1, even though my line had been normal now, TM never tell me about this. I also wonder when my internet will disconnect next time. probably after few weeks.

If your port gets hijacked just telephone the tech support and tell them to reset your port. They will do it immediately, no questions asked. I've had my connection 'hanged' a couple of times because I disconnected/reconnected over and over again. The problem will sometimes go away by itself but if you don't want to wait 2+ hours, just give TMNet a call and tell them to reset the port if you can't connect.

It's really not their fault, it's just how the DSLAM works. On the other hand if you get your line hijacked, it isn't their fault either, but you should report it or they won't know to fix it.

but, why TM can't detect all the problems at first and solve it immediately before we make the reports ???

reasons like too much user, too complicated etc from TM are all not acceptable. because TM is ISP ( service provider) and TM must make sure a good service for customers.

i've ask them about it. i ask why dont you detect it 1st. they said they only check if customer complain to them. mean that they dont do maintainance often. only check if customer report to them. and it take minumim 2 days working day to solve the problem

the TmNut really shit....

BTW if u're using aztech modem firmware version 3xxxx u need to do some upgrade to 6xxxx version...

I got this information from Telekom contractor...
