I am using 2640T as well. However, I faced a lot of wireless problem. I computer is just 50 feet from the router but the signal strength is LOW. What is the problem? I have tried to install a 12dbi antenna on it but it seems no use wo. How?
However, in the exact same location with my desktop, I can connect to the internet using my XPS Laptop. Is it my desktop wireless adapter got problem? I am using DLink USB Adpater. HELP....

Just bought the DSL-2640T router and it has been almost a week. the surfing speed is quite slow and I do surfer from a sudden disconnection .But the worse problem I’m facing is my download speed is never higher than 10kb , (rapidshare, megaupload). Mine is the basic 1M package. I download the latest firmware V3.02B01T01.EU-A.20071212.

Can anyone tell me what the problem? Is there some tweaking in need to do at the router page? Changing to a different firmware or is just streamyx messing with speed

Anyone successfully open port 80 on the 264OT box?
Somehow I can't get it to forward port 80 correctly no matter what I try.

Downloaded the latest firmware DSL-2640T_2008072.zip. Which file to choose when upgrading the firmware as there are 2 files in the zip file as follows:

1. config.DLinkEU-A_DSL-2640T.img (10kb)
2. DLinkEU-A_DSL-2640T_singleimage_kernel_fs_V3.02B01T01.EU-A.20080725 (2.91MB)

Do i need to flash both files or just "DLinkEU-A_DSL-2640T_singleimage_kernel_fs_V3.02B01T01.EU-A.20080725" file?

Pls advise. TQ.

Hi there, currently i gotten my laptop Dell Studio 1555 which is running vista home. right now, i'm having difficulty on make connection wireless...

Modem model : D-Link wireless G DSL-2640T
Wireless LAN Adapter : Intel® WiFi Link 5100 AGN
Ethernet Adapter : Broadcom NetLink ™ Gigabit Ethernet

1) I able to connect by wired network perfectly (like now)
2) Once i open up the box, I already install the "intel-driver" for the wireless adapter as above provided by dell at web.
3) I already create my wireless network (like how i did successfully last time)
4) I tried to plug off the cable to detect my wireless network but i couldn't detect my wireless network. I only able to detect other networks but not mine...
5) My modem just next to me...& everything look fine to me as i able to get online by my iphone...not my laptop (my brother laptop (XP) able to go for wireless too) =.=" & today i purposely went to midvalley to test public wireless at starbuck for a drinks. It's connected perfectly!!!

Guys, i need your help....I think the main problem is from the router....guide book doesn't show how to ~~ I've no idea what setting i should change or add in order to get connected... Y_Y rclxub.gif

P/S: solution settled....need go into router and uncheck the hidden SSID then save & reboot all done... ^^
