I'm using this router too, very good response and easy to use. As for the firmware, make sure you don't download the wrong firmware. rclxms.gif

Wireless networks work both way.. having a 7db antenna on one end will not help it at all if the receiving end cannot acknowledge the signal with the reply... It could be due to other interference.. such as magnetic fields, microwave oven, or even if your wall is very thick..

beside that, check the channel, default is usually channel 6, I would suggest u change the channel to 1 or 11 as it has a smaller chance of interference with other signals...

and finally, if im not mistaken.. 802.11b cannot work effectively around walls.. so check your receiving end... make sure it is in 802.11 b + g mode..

thats what i am facing now..... during mid game, suddenly off and on back again, makes me dc from the game server....
but after i maximized the DHCP lease time to 86400sec(24hr), it seldom dc already. but still it will on/off without warning sweat.gif

the 7db antenna coz around RM150, bought at MyPC lowyat. but it doesnt seems to work effectively. coz i have 1 PC in a room downstairs cant get the signal, it used D-Link USB wifi G adapter, i tested both 2db and 7db antenna also cannot , i need to move the modem outside only can get a "low" signal indication. 7db doesnt help much also.

IMO, D-Link's wireless router are pretty bad in most cases but their wired ones seems to be fine. I've read from somewhere in the internet that D-Link is aware of this problem but still couldn't find a solution to the problem.

I bought my D-Link DI-624+ for RM270 that time. Now I just use it to act as a AP while my Linksys WRT54GS would be my main router and QoS is done from there too.

G604T user here. I'm having the same on/off problem as above only thing is, i'm connected thru network card not wireless. Xfire, YM will dc for for no reason but few second later its back to normal. Very frustrating when you in the middle of playing online games. I have upgraded the right firmware. I'll give the 86400sec tip a try.
