Okay, last weekend was the most retarded weekend of all. 2 days and I only managed to play ONE map before something happens.

These things are so random. Sometimes the game just CTDs when loading a map, sometimes I join, play for 2 minutes and get kicked out with a empty Punkbuster message, and sometimes the map just gets stuck on loading.

Tried rebooting my system, and when I log in to a server, takes AGES to load the map. Once instance, the map actually changed when the loading bar reached the end!

Open your 'My Documents' folder and open your BF2142 folder.

Open open the 'Mods' folder until you reach 'Cache' inside it and delete its contents.

I hope this helps.

Hi, I don't know if this has happened to anyone else but just recently, every time I join a game (even M'sian server) I get this msg (I have forgotten the full error msg but this is roughly it)

PB Important Msg: RESTRICTION: Key Packets Missing (Some code here but i can't remember lah)

In the few seconds that I can log into the game I noted my ping was only 20-60 ?! After this msg I am kicked from the server...

Any ideas or help out there? Thks ppl

Check your ram.
Use another stick if you got any available. If you're using dual channel, remove 1 stick and try again. If it happens again, try the other. If this solves it, one of your ram sticks is faulty.
If it still happens, try the other ram slots. If this solves it, your ram slot is faulty.
If you overclock your cpu, try setting to default settings. If this solves it, you're pushing your oc a bit too much. Follow the instructions found in overclocker's paradise subforum. It helps.

-Done checking...crest already instruct me on the RAMs..both RAM also kantoi.
-Ram slots check...all still the same.Blue screen to death
-I dont overclock...because i'm not a risk taker.

Last but not least...it only happens when i play BF2142.Other games such as BF2 and Command And Conquer 3 already been tested and they are running fine.So any more suggestion?.I'm so lost now and GXL is near....takkan main ngan laptop kot..mampus ahh tongue.gif

Try downloading programs to stress your ram. Memtest and/or Prime95 are good for stress test.
If it fails almost immediately, theres something wrong with your ram. Healthy rams can go for hours at one go. brows.gif

OR

Go to bios and check your ram power settings. Most motherboards use default stock power settings for ram. High performance ram uses a bit more juice even when running on stock. Although this is very unlikely to cause a BSOD. But it can't hurt to try can it? tongue.gif

Hi I'm kinda new here, and I've been having some problems with my 2142. I can get into servers, eg: Starhub and whatnot, but will get a "You're connection has been lost" randomly. I've checked that my internet is up and running okay, so any suggestions as to what could be the problem? Using Streamyx btw. Could that be it?
