yeap... but the problem lies in deleting the already downloaded files.. of course, starting a new download is not difficult  smile.gif
*

nahh..the pros definitely outweights the cons..

if you want to delete the finished files, right click on the finished files in the "files" tab, and choose don't download.. then right click on the torrent file in the torrent list, choose "open containing folder" and delete whatever you want... sure its easier to do with bitcomet, but µtorrent takes up alot less space n resources..

I'm getting a lot of torrents with the status of 'offline(timeout)' lately. Are any of you guys suffering from it?

Probably just a normal streamyx slowdown. These trackers are http, so you should get timed out pages also when you surf the internet.

The easiest way with the default utorrent configuration is to turn on UPnP on your router. To check, goto the logger tab in utorrent and see if the mapping is successful.

The harder way is to manually forward a port to the ip address of your pc in your router's setup. Yes, you would need a fixed ip for both cases. Either set the ip manually in your windows configuration or check what ip the router's dhcp has assigned you by looking in the support tab of your connection in windows.

Yeaps... I agree. Less resources and time taken. In fact I am still using version 1.5 which doesnt require you to install =)

btw I'm a bit skeptical... u see, when u use Bitcomet and delete off the downloaded files, you know for sure it is gone..

But when you delete something off windows manually.. i.e. via shift-delete,
does it really go off your hard disk? there are a lot of arguments about this thing... any windows pro out here ready to share?

are you using a router or modem?
you have to configure the portforward settings if you are using a router. smile.gif and remember to uncheck the 'UnPhP' box if you are using utorrent, it will connect faster and increase your speed.

if all fails, then it's ur connection problem[tmNuts] tongue.gif
