need help.. PC randomly reboots sometimes while playing games.
not very demanding gaming like CS:GO or Cities : Skyline, then sometimes halfway it reboots with no BSOD whatsoever.

could it be a PSU problem??

currently using Cooler Master EX2 725W about a year now...

hmm.gif all this while temperature was never a problem for my case. maybe dust buildup?

anyways i opened up my desktop, clean some of the dust off and checked the plugs etc.

if it happens again, should be PSU problem? or perhaps some OS problem? antivirus i am using AVG, but i dont get any BSOD though.

btw, i dono how to read the error log laugh.gif

you can just google the error code

thermal shutdown is very obvious wan, when you game so hard, and room feels so damn hot. then suddenly, PC makes a loud fan sound, and pop shuts down.

your case might be OS issue, i got mine on crazy BSOD when one of my RAM was faulty.

but just check on the error code first

dont think is thermal shutdown. everything running under 60degree while playing csgo. inside aircond room also.

maybe RAM faulty? how to check ram problem?

error code all i got was Event ID 41. "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first"

doesn't happen every time as well. hmm.gif

Coolermaster Extreme line is crap. This is a low quality PSU. Our local temperature isn't good for bad PSUs. Running high end GTX770 with crap PSU is asking for problems like this. High ripple and noise might even reduce the lifetime of your hardware too.

there was no bsod maybe because you ask windows to reboot automatically. i guess your system might have captured something in its event logs. you can refer to it for more information.

Another option is Seasonic M12 II Evo 620W at RM379 if you want full modular.

thanks for the recommendation. seems like Seasonic is the best choice to go for.
between this 2, what's the difference? only modular and non modular??

the cooler master was a panic buy when my cap ayam PSU got fried. the gtx770 came in later.

Yup. The difference is just the cabling.

I see. You can always research before buying a PSU.
