She explains him that the monster is a Homunculus made by alchemy. She also tells him that there is Kakugane in his chest in place of the heart. It is an alloy made by alchemy, too, and it is the only weapon to fight against Homunculus. Using the power of Kurogane, he beats the monster and saves his sister.

Nah, nothing like that. Try reading the manga, but IMHO, a 7 tankoubon long manga should not have been made into an anime. it's too short

Well Kyuu had released the Ep 01 around a day back or so. Have yet to finish downloading it, so I guess I hold off my opinion until then (I missed the RAWs, too many RAWs out and too slow torrenting speed, so I had to resort to selective downlods >_<)

Because of popularity. How a manga prevail in a magazine like Shounen Jump? Every month (or certain time), the readers have to decide (through survey forms) which story should continue or which shouldn't. Apparently for this case, Busou Renkin didn't go far. Any story that is not popular will be thrown away from the magazine. That's what happened to Busou Renkin manga.

And any series that IS poplar will be retained for years.... look at Dragon Ball. even one piece and nartuo is going to be like that. But at least one piece does not take itself seriously. Kochi Kame meanwhile escapes this poll,
