sorry fellas, i only checked the forum only tat one time during the holidays.
anyway, i'd like to come this coming saturday's Waagh session, 6th Jan 2007. Cause i got the cheques of the previous tournament to pass. also, here's another update: Dark Crusade Tournament at Autumn Breeze Internet Cafe, Klang 3rd February 2006 Cash Prizes: 1st - RM 1,000 2nd - RM 600 3rd - RM 300 4th to 8th - RM 100 each Prize pool is nearly double of the previous! Trophies to top 3 only. Rules and Regulations of the tournament will be confirmed later. In the meantime, i'd like the opinion of everyone on the map: Shrine of Excellion as the only map this time around. Please comment here. TQ. |

QUOTE Shrine of Excellion as the only map this time around SoE ... has the distinct advantage to OP races due to 1) Bloody near distance for both bases, just walk across the craters 2) 2 routes so under powered races cant put up a decent defence against death march/FW spam 3) SP points cant reinforce one another So for average players: - Necron warrior spam seems unstoppable - IG turret rush owns up to 90% of teh noobs. But these are just my personal view |

Well lets go to Kim Gary's at Sunway Pyramid on Feb 10 (dont want to do it near 14 since some of the guys here will be busy pak tor-ing(hope i got the word right) ..........Time will be 8pm....I hope the usual Rhino transport is available for all.....if not give me a call for a Wartrakk.. And dont worry about the meal.....its my treat.....just something i wanted to do for the community since we have become sorta of a chapter ourselves. It will be good if you can join us Ctrl-Alt and if the Inquisitor would grant us the honor of joining us as well. QUOTE(Cheesenium @ Dec 29 2006, 02:39 PM) Wished i was there..... QUOTE(redeye84 @ Dec 29 2006, 09:39 PM) The Inquisitor always is busy with matters of utmost importance.....He is purging heresy on a global scale..... QUOTE(redeye84 @ Dec 29 2006, 11:45 PM) I never thought i'd hear you say this.....I'm am proud to see that your hate of the heresy has grown QUOTE(Waba @ Dec 30 2006, 01:46 AM) See? "Class" is more of an important concern for you then "fun" and practicallity, well if you dont mind paying after Hunt's budget is exceeded there is the Sunway Resort hotel buffet RM50++ per person only, good for oyster lover Relax dude.....Red is still a padawan. He has much to learn of the Dark side. (Couldnt help using the SW lingo) QUOTE(redeye84 @ Dec 30 2006, 02:29 AM) I tought you mean Imba as in imba free time... sheesh.. Dont get all cranky.. well if the dinner at the hotel its gonna come from my our own pockets... We cant have Hunt paying rm50++ per person can we... Relax dude......I just want to make it a good dinner session where we sit down to celebrate our existence for this long. QUOTE(redeye84 @ Dec 31 2006, 05:13 AM) nope my parents are neitier enterpeuner or inherrited buissness.. Just working people So anyone wanna meet up for new year eve??.. Dont count on rhino on me tho... My Car is stuck there now.. Thx Hunt for sending me and johnny back.. There's no need for thanks dude...it was no trouble QUOTE(johnnycp @ Dec 31 2006, 05:13 AM) Dont we all. QUOTE(Waba @ Jan 1 2007, 06:40 PM) Hmm... due to these 2 reasons + less coms then FTZ I personally still prefer FTZ over Clutch, I have no intention to wait up for coms that will lag which are administrated by unhelpful ownership. If session on I still vote for FTZ, what say the rest of you? My vote stays with FTZ....since they have showed loyality to the Inquisitor's words to patch WA before and we tend to find more ppl playing in FTZ than in Clutch....besides the PC's are far stronger.... QUOTE(darklight79 @ Jan 1 2007, 08:02 PM) Great to finally meet you that day dude.....Hope to see you more at our WAAAAGHHH sessions. QUOTE(kean89 @ Jan 2 2007, 02:36 AM) Dude, I did approach you or maybe its one of your friends.....about having a 2v2. But you kinda declined me down.....maybe i should let someone like Fuj or Johnny ask QUOTE(DarkFyre @ Jan 3 2007, 09:55 AM) i agree playing with other people is different from playing with a AI.. playing with others is very unpredictable and its really fun hehehe..although getting trashed left right center sucks Dude.....trust me.....all of us got our asses kicked at first but then you improve and it becomes really better....besides i think you will really enjoy your time in this WAAAAAGHHH session. especially when you are ally with the Primach and his Loyal IG General. QUOTE(king_kong @ Jan 3 2007, 11:00 AM) sorry fellas, i only checked the forum only tat one time during the holidays. anyway, i'd like to come this coming saturday's Waagh session, 6th Jan 2007. QUOTE(johnnycp @ Jan 2 2007, 03:41 PM) Playing with computer AI ain't fun. Try some games with us and u will know it is totally different story. and by the way, prepare to welcome the heavy bombardment fired by the Commander of Bassilisk Regiment. Yes the AI's are very predictable and unlike humans players , Ai's tend to retreat the moment they're outnumbered or out-gunned . Sucky thing and i sorta got used to the pattern of their attack already . Small skirmishes and then one freaking huge attack force . We'll see about that . I switched to playing IG now . Sorta got bored of Space Marines . Guardsmen are more dangerous than regular Marines now that i see it . A steady meat wall does the trick while autocannons fire away . I love using the Earthshaker rounds especially on huge concentrations of infantry units . God that's the best way to irritate other players . |

Ok let me see we have on official ladder maps now:
- Blood River - Battle Marshes - Fallen City - Shrine of Excellion - Quests Triumph - Meeting of the Minds XDone - Outer Reaches - Blood River Good map, bases are close but SP are plenty, slight advantage to cron but since alot of SP so not so much of a free win for death march. IG turret rush is a bit OP though. - Battle Marshes Excellent map, cant rush (too far) with good amount of SP around for strategic two way play. - Fallen City A bit problematic since got big gen (advantage to Eldar and Cron) and SP are too far apart. Tau Commander with Rocket pack standing on unaccessible roof tops are really spoiling the game at times. - Shrine of Excellion Not really good, read my previous post - Quests Triumph Under par map. center critical point only accessible from below (unfair). Lots of ledges for unfair turreting/HWT advantage. Necron can stay at base nice nice guarding one and only entrance and still got 3 Sp for a 17/20 warrior/FO spam - Meeting of the Minds XDone - Outer Reaches Overall good and bloody, eldar at slight disadvantage here due to base closeness and slow capping speed. On the other hand if Orks gets hold on the center SP and put up banners = gg for all below par players. I will say.... for me Battle Marshes seems a better choice, need to hear the rest of the Chapter's input. QUOTE God that's the best way to irritate other players Irritate? Huh, you have seen nothing yet..just to let you know everytime we play 4v4 IG almost always got the most kill, with the least units in game ... thanks to earth shaker rounds. If you compare Battle Marshes and Fallen City.....I would pick Battle Marshes as it is much more neutral towards the races and will give the opportunity for some decent matches......however fallen city does give for high battles early on with two big gen on both sides of the river. Nevertheless, my vote is cast on Battle Marshes.....I would suggest that Battle Marshes be used for the Finals instead of early on, whereas the other maps be used for the initial engagement. It wouldn't matter to Noobs.... Any opinions fellas |

Battle Marshes?? ! jump for Vespid/Raptor/ASM into ur base and lets do some havoc..... gg and btw, Bassilisk can bombard the whole map from his base.
Shrien of Excellion? Necron death march, Chaos Bezerker rush, IG turret rush.. cheesy win Blood River? Good map for rusher. Can finish any noobs within 10mins. U want fast game, this is the map. Outer Reach?? IG turret rush or Commander Squad + Commisar rush.. gg less than 10mins Meeting of Mind?? Good map despite the big gen.. But no a problem for me.. Fallen City?? Vespid + kroot rush / Vespid + Tau commander tech = gg Quest thruimp?? bottom position has better advantage because of the middle critical location only be able to access by bottom. QUOTE(Waba @ Jan 3 2007, 04:16 PM) Yea. That's the most important part. Just let me get into No.3 Waba will dominate Ravana if he didnt meet TongSampah. QUOTE(redeye84 @ Jan 3 2007, 05:22 PM) I prefer this map... It rather balance for all races. This map will definately make up Ork disability here. You have no idea what's goin on ... prepare to meet Soul's cultish + grenade launcher. Remember, all the SP is outside... cultist isnt like u to take the SP u know? and when Waba's ASM jump cross the cliff, the sun will get blocked and ur troops will get mess up after that. This map definately disable any ork race.. Why everyone hate Orks so much.. Why want to disable me? This post has been edited by johnnycp: Jan 3 2007, 06:30 PM |

QUOTE FC is another cacat map, already got sounds from the international community to boot that map out of the ladder list. Yeah i know, laserflip kept saying he would trade his kidney to get it out of the list. QUOTE however fallen city does give for high battles early on with two big gen on both sides of the river. Dude, think about it for a second, say u end up facing necrons. You send you grotz to build big gen and he send his scarab to his. both no econ now right? He then send his free cron Warriors to bash up your gen with scarab to counter your infiltrated grotz. GG no re.QUOTE Waba will dominate Ravana if he didnt meet TongSampah. I will have 10% chance if he play SM by then. But now even his SM is 1500+This post has been edited by Waba: Jan 3 2007, 06:11 PM |
