What do you mean by finding the best ram timing? The lower the timings, the better it is i.e. 4-4-4-12 is better than 5-5-5-15 which is better than 6-6-6-18.....

Even if you can boot into windows, it may still not be stable.... you still need to stress the rams to make sure that they are stable at that particular speed....

You can try to increase the vdimm..... stock should be 1.8v.... remember to put fans to blow on the rams if you go above 2.0v vdimm.... and remember that rams can get damaged the higher you set the vdimm (Overclock at your own risk!!! wink.gif ) .... max limit would probably be 2.2v and below....

Why not check out my guide on DDR2 overclocking.... you can use this particular method to find the limits of your rams... of course, there are other ways to do it too.... wink.gif

Below is my system's specs:
PSU - SilverStone ST400 400W Real Power
Mobo - Abit kn8 ultra
Proc - AMD64 3000+ venice core 1.8MHz
GC - Msi 9600GSO-OC
Ram - Corsair Value Ram DDR400 PC3200 (2x1GB)

I wanted to OC my proc in bios, where the max multiplier is x9 and about the fsb, i set it to around 230-250 only, then my PC couldn't start. i mean i stucked at blank screen and i need to reset the cmos. Now set the fsb to 215, only can boot my pc. But 215x9 only 1933.9Mhz, i expecting around 2.2ghz or higher ler.. how??

Please teach me how to OC all those things at stable status, ur help is much much appreciated!!

lazy to read? tongue.gif somemore post so many places.
reference
reduce HTT multiplier 4x or 3x, RAM clock, disable cool&quiet, increase CPU FSB clock by 10 each time.
use SP2004 or PRIME95 check stability, use SUPERPI 1M as CPU benchmark.
you should able to feel the speed of K8 after 2.6GHz, SUPERPI around 34seconds.
EDIT: updated.

All ready try to set the ram to ddr400 + adding 1.45v to cpu core
still hang at bios.

Maybe the Asus M2A-VM not meant to oc.
