Is it true vista just run smoother with amd 64 ..... sweat.gif

What about Intel core 2 duo, is it compatible coz my friend tell me that C2D cant support vista unlike amd 64 does....is it true?  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

if you love your harddisk, don't use vista

i think everyone who has tested vista also knows that hdd will just spin although the os is not doing anything you can see, maybe running behind the os,
this will causes your hdd life become shorter..... =.="

i took about 20-30 minutes to install vista rc1 from mounting rc1 dvd image until the vista desktop apppear.
the installation time is a bit shorter than the installation time of win xp using the same pc
this is good!

but vista takes longer time to boot up compared to win xp =.="

I'll hold my breath until they release service pack 1 or 2. $M new product is never good without service pack 1 or 2. sweat.gif

well i doubt your hard disk will die sooner. if it did, MS will be in big trouble. although i do feel that my hard disk response better compare to win xp.

What i heard was at least 4gb for games and directx 10card only can be supported at Vista...correct me if i m wrong...

but anyway even directx 10 release,we gotta wait for at least 1.5yrs for the card to be mature...

not necessary...u only need at least 1 GB to run Vista Aero, for gaming, of course more is better lar, and its backward compatible to DX9, MS has to do that, or else, M$ will once again be cursed to force ppl to trash out their Geforce 7950x2 just to play Halo2 laugh.gif

well a wk ago microsoft came to my office to demo their Vista,, according to them and what I see, they can use a Centrino 1.6 w/ 512 mb ram to run but of coz so so only lah... they said the best would be 128 mb graphic card and 1 gb ram... but if ram not enough can use thumb drive as temp ram.

like vista alot especially the function which we are able to encript our machine by thumb drive. To dispose the hdd, simple just erase the key stored in the thumb drive and the hdd can be disposed.

just imagine...
gamers should go for 2gb of ram
1gb is enough for normal users

i'm using rc1 on my amd athlon xp 2600+, 1gb ddr400 ram, geforce fx6200
it still requires more polish
i can't really judge because it's still in beta version
