Thanks for the reply. Are there any risks using debit card? Sounds better than credit card since I heard you might have to pay some sorta interest or something if you use credit card.

Credit card is safer.. and as long you pay within the time alloted, no interests.

For credit card, you can dispute if you suspect fraud or merchant failed to deliver.
You don't pay until dispute is settled. For more info, go to the Finance section to ask more questions on credit cards or debit cards.

Buying movies online from Amazon is safe.. and they are originals. Much cheaper than Speedy.

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the place to post this (I'm new...)

I recently ordered a large shipment of educational DVDs online from a store in the US (yes, okay, I should have read this forum before being so stupid but I was trying to save on shipping costs). The first time they sent it, it never arrived (2 months after ordering) so I asked them to resend via DHL.

Now it's arrived but I need to apply for an LPF license from the censorship board to get them cleared at customs.

The DVDs are purely educational - teaching sign language to children. The guy from DHL gave me all the details of who to call and to say that the DVDs are for personal use.

Has anyone ever tried applying for an LPF license? How long does it take? Is it difficult? Will they stuff me around? Would it safer if I tried to get the shipment redirected to my parents in Australia (I'm visiting them over Christmas).

Any information is much appreciated.

Thanks!
