QUOTE(Masculine @ Sep 5 2009, 10:31 AM)

You open up first then we follow....

As for me... I'm not a video guy... at least not yet.... I'm a photography guy.... TM300 is my first HD cam, so I have to start all over again.  Learning how
to shoot correctly.  Finding the right editing software for my skill level and the right editing equipment considering I'm a total noob.  Therefore, I have nothing to
compare with....  Hence the silence laugh.gif

*

I do not mean you as I think you have shared quite a bit about the TM300 in this Forum ( rclxms.gif ) like me about the Sanyo HD2000. I am referring to those posters who announced that they have bought such-a-such camcorder and then no further posts about their experience with their camcorders, good points or bad or sample videos. No offence to anybody, just my observation. icon_rolleyes.gif

Guys... I have this crazy dream... of video my driving to work... everyday I drove from Semenyih to Seremban through Mantin (a bit of jungle on the hill)... sometimes, I suffer leg muscle spasm, especially the leg that step on the throttle of my ancient car. So I overtake a lot while cursing at the other slow driver (who woke up too early to drive as fast to work.... slap head)...

I'm thinking of maybe 10s clip of me driving.... busy action cornering..
- need suction cup to mount my TM300
- need wide angle adaptor (damn the century optics WA is over RM700)

Then, a few minutes clip shooting at the front view (shot from inside)
- again suction cup
- wide angle

Maybe a few minute clip of video shooting from the side of my ancient car...
- suction cup again
- wide angle

Maybe a few shot of my leg suffering from muscle spasm...

Any sifu here can chip in advice... please... I've ordered cheapo ebay suction cup... want to try first.. if not ok.. I'll go for Delkin Fat Gecko....

Still saving money for that Century Precision optics 0.55X WA...

P/S: What should be the music suitable for this kind of video... scratch head...

hi to all sifus here. i used to own Sanyo HD1010 until last week my house got broken in. here goes all my precious footage of my family for the past 1 year as they took my laptop as well..... cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

ok now looking for new HD cam. i like the sanyo form factor but i'm really thinking of getting a cam with OIS if budget permits. my experience with HD1010 was hood and only if the IS could be better. another point that sanyo really handy in taking photo. a new HD2000 is only rm1900 at lelong and if i buy back HD1010 it will cost rm1500. looking at other option would be Canon HF 200 (below 3k) and the rest in canon range is a lil over my budget. any advise on HF 200? or any other better options icon_question.gif

The HD2000 at this price is a steal. I don't think any Sony, Canon or Panasonic camcorder at below RM2k can match the Sanyo. Just look at the indoor video shot by my brother-in-law using my HD2000 in this Youtube clip. Using a tripod, the poor Image Stabilisation is not an issue. There is some focus hunting but the built-in mic is great.
BTW, the video was shot originally in 1920x1080, 30p but rendered at 720x480 for uploading so there is some loss in quality.

I'm really torn between the Panasonic TM-300, Canon HF S100 or HF 21 and Sony XR520V. With these three brands, it seemed like a rock, paper and scissors game.

Tough year to decide on a HD camcorder.

Please recommend an entry-level HDD camcoder around RM2k for me.

I called up Sony centre and most recommend SR47 (60GB, 60x optical zoom, RM1899) but the sensor is not that good 680K only.

If i sacrifice the optical zoom & HDD space, and opt for at least 1M CCD. what are the models and the price?

If I can get it before the end of the month, I'll be more than happy. Although I'm sure it'll scorch and melt my plastic too.

Edited my earlier post to exclude the HF 200 and include the HF 21.

Ok so I'll forget Panasonics altogether sad.gif

Showdown between Canon and Sony!
