Since RHB,CIMB and MBSB are going to merge as one entity. Do you guys think the current biggest bank in Malaysia which is Maybank is going to merge with other local banks such as Affin Bank ?

Affin is a rubbish bank. Its a shame if Maybank merge with Affin.

Probably merge with Hong Leong.

Not just biggest Chinese bank in MY, but biggest bank in MY.

Market Cap of Maybank is RM90b. PBB is 76.7b and HLB is 26.5b; totalling 103.2b.

Serve no purpose for MBB to merge with Affin....MBB is 13X bigger than Affin in terms of Market Cap.

What is happening ? This news article isn't confirming anything. It is simply stating the obvious, something many are already aware of.
