intel conroe launching at the end of this month sure is better smile.gif
and i think ur gc would be the bottle neck for either system.

to be frank..choosing between an AM2 or an X2 or even an A64..you wont really see much diff in gaming..whats more important is your graphics card..

if u plan to get a am2 x2, u need to buy a new mobo, if ur ram is ddr1 then u hav to buy a new ram ddr2, and ur agp card cant use at any am2 mobo.
i suggest if u wan to keep your agp card then go for amd x2 939, buy a mobo that can support agp version, and u still can use ur old ram ddr1.

I suggest you go for X2, AM2 doesnt seem to mature in DDR2, there seems to be latency in the RAM.
