I think it's doable,

Pc>---wireles-->Dlink>---uplink/internet port--->Belkin--->Internet

Hey there,

I'm a newbie. I'm currently using a wireless connection between my desktop and a wireless router+modem. Am not happy with the speed and wish to change back to good ol' wires.

But theres quite a distance between the modem and my comp. I used to use a VERY long cable with a mini-ethernet( the small 'brother' of ethernet) port. I didn't know how it works.

So guys, what should I do now? There seems to be only 1 Ethernet port on my PC and 1 Ethernet port on my modem ( the mini bro is connected to the phoneline). How do I setup ?

thx!

Hi all, not sure if this has been asked before. Let say I'm using Streamyx via LAN and then using wireless broadband by USB, will i get bandwidth from both lines? If not how will it work?

Curious. smile.gif

Hi all

I have a problem with my Streamyx. All this while, I have been using Streamyx via the cables. Yesterday, I bought a wireless router (TP-Link), the Low Yat guy help to configure the router. When I try it with my laptop, it can detect the router but when i dial, the message prompting " Phone line is busy". I really don't know what went wrong. FYI, i'm using manual dialing which also have been configured in the router. Need your help. Thanks

You can reder to this post:

Added: Long phone cable@wire does not affect your DSL speed. Only the distance from the telephone exchange and your home matters..

I need some help here

My setup was i use DLink DST 504T router modem for my Internet access and Belkin wireless router for wireless point.

Previously it was all fine until last week my wireless went kaput. Despite reconfigure the Dlink to use PPPOE and Belkin also uses PPPOE (no bridging is available), i unable to get the wireless router to detect my internet.

Any advise here? sad.gif
