sifu[s], I'm still having problem trying to set up a local area network for my home computers. I'm not sure if this is the place to ask or not but if it isn't, please move it to the appropriate thread. thanks.
1. I have a modem and a router, two separate item.
2. I'd already configure my router and both my computers can go online.
3. I have no idea on how to set up a LAN to enable file sharing between the two computers.

can anyone guide me? I'd read through the first post in this thread but somehow, I got lost half way and really couldn't understand how to set up a LAN for home computers.

I appreciate your replies and guidance. thanks alot.
once again, if this is the appropriate thread to seek for networking help, please move it to the appropriate one. I'm sorry about it.
