Directness heat up kathode has been used in this amplifier which can provide more than 3000-5000 working hours. You can feel the special taste from tube headphone amplifier which is different from other normal headphone amplifier.

It can be used with your PC, CD, DVD, or MP3. The sound is smooth, sweet, and detailed combining with excellent low frequency performance. With a pair of headphone, the mini tube amp will provide you a thoroughly musical experience!

Here is an example of what people are saying about the Little Dot 2 amp: "little blue dot: wow it sounded nice just what you would expect to hear from a small tube amp warm and lush ...worth a listen at 4 times the price!"

Specification:

Frenquency response: 10HZ to 35KHZ (-3db)

Distortion: <=1% (50mW, 300ohm)

<=3% (92mW, 300 ohm)

Power handling capacity: 35W (under alternating current situation)

Tube used: 1B2*2, 4P1S*2

Output terminal: 6.5mm Mic Jack

Input terminal: RCA Jack

Color: golden, silver, black, blue

Can drive headphones with 30 ohm to 600 ohm

Power supply-220-240V, or 110-120V

Case dimension: 200(L) *120(W) *105(D) mm(before tube installed )

Weight: 2.6kg

The Little Dot III+ is a dual purpose integrated tube amplifier/pre-amp which can be used to drive both headphones as well as high sensitivity speakers. The Little Dot III+ uses two Mullard EF91 tubes for driver output, and two 4P1S as the power tubes in a Class-A biased amplification circuit for maximum sound quality. To minimize the heat generated from operating in Class-A bias, the Little Dot III+ uses stringent power control and an external power supply to ensure your enjoyment of its exquisite timbre, sparkling treble, and powerful bass is not intruded upon by thermal and fan noise. In addition, the Class-A biased amplification circuit ensures minimal harmonic distortion.

The Little Dot III+ has controls to allow the user to switch between the purer sounding triode and the higher power pentode output stages. In addition, the LDIII+ features an auto-detecting headphone impedance circuit, which detects the impedance of your headphones and automatically matches its output voltage and current to best synergize with your headphones. Headphones with impedances from 32-600 ohms are all accounted for, so you may relax knowing the LDIII+'s output stage will optimize its gain to match with almost any headphone you plug into it.

The Little Dot III+ is the built from high quality components such as a Z11 silicon steel plate custom casing, ALPS RK-27 "Blue Velvet" Potentiometer for precise tracking, hand-matched German WIMA+ERO coupling capacitors, Vishay-Dale resistors, and Nichicon electrolytic capacitors.

In order to reduce interference and heat, Little Dot III+'s power supply, which includes a voltage tracking regulator circuit that provides exact voltage needs, custom wound transformers, and special power filtering, is housed externally in an independent module to keep the amplification circuit isolated for reduced noise floor and maximum sound quality.

i've had this amp for quite some time now. very capable amp for a good price. i paid about US$100+ for it including insured and tracked shipping.
pairs quite nicely with HD650 and ms2i/325i but somehow sounds quite rubbish with my in ear monitors.

the amp does get quite hot very fast so dont itchy fingers and go touch the tubes. it does require some burn in time as i could personally feel a nice evolution in sound over time. the highs are well controlled and maintain a good amount of detail. bass is tight, but hornet tighter. bass is slamming, much more so than the hornet. mids are ok, but on complex pieces may sound a bit congested.

overall a good buy for such a price. if you can get it for RM200-300 all the better. will still be keeping this amp even when i receive my Jan Meier Corda Headfive as i think its a good synergy with the alessandro. will compare these two side by side soon.

-edit- by the way if you do get this amp, forget using it with those stock red and white rca freebie wires. get a decent pair of interconnects as it did make a good improvement.
